Can we just put that on a loop.
If he had a better bench he could use it better

Agreed wholeheartedly with the last two sentencesThe main issue as I see it: Tigers made key mistakes, including unforced errors like a few bad offloads, and Storm made us pay for those mistakes. We were unable to defend our errors.
In reverse, Storm were losing the physical battle and were themselves starting to make mistakes, but Tigers couldn't quite make them pay for it, and Storm were able to hang on for 80 minutes. Storm key players stepped up in key moments.
Tigers need to keep doing everything they did in the 2nd half, for 80 mins. And I really don't care if it's use of the bench or whatever, the players on there need to be able to do it, or we'll never be able to compete with the top teams.
E.g. Kaufusi was asked to play centre for half the match, did so and did a solid job. The young forwards for Storm played reasonably large minutes, all rookies, and did their jobs (not outstandingly, just did what was needed).
Also goal kicking abysmal from both sides.
Storm were depleted going into the match, but that's like saying Roosters are depleted or Penrith are depleted - they are still very good sides and they still have excellent players in key positions.
If we jag one more try and/or Brooks kicks 4/5 instead of 2/5 I think the Tigers get away with the win.
I was pleasantly surprised with Peachey. His defence was a lot better than I expected and added something in attack. Will be good I think. A footballerI thought Peachey and Gildart were both good but my expectations were low. I expected a lot more from Hastings.
So you're happy to let 3metre forward passes get let go for tries? You're easily pleased then.
Good sides defend penalties and poor calls from refs. That is the nature of the game, human error. What is certain is our goal line defence is very poor. If this was limited to one game I would not be concerned. We know this is not the case and has been happening for the three previous years.
Madge said he should be O.k.Someone mentioned last night it was a similar injury to the one Mahoney picked up last year. Could miss a few weeks.

Off the top of my head last year in round 1 they beat a side that went on to be grand finalists. More often than not they are featured in a marquee game to start the season.I should have said this before the game but didn’t think the timing was right, it’s not now either 😁
When there was talk about us as a spoon candidate, then naturally we had to draw Storm first up.
It’s huge to get a win first up for a lot of reasons.
Storms round 1 record is helped by never playing a top 8 side.
Yep I was there & saw Lucy laughing, it gives me the shits.Anyone notice the players who were laughing with the storm players after the game , that’s what gets me . They should be shown that during the week and made to do a 100 laps of concord after training
How can you defend against a blatant forward pass that is the last pass that leads to a try? You can't. So that is 4 or 6 gift points that the team that has copped the dud call has to make up. Different if it's in midfield and there are other opportunities to actually defend against that dud call.Good sides defend penalties and poor calls from refs. They are all mates. All fawn over each other on social media. Not the game I grew up watching.Yep I was there & saw Lucy laughing, it gives me the shits.
Its funny how we see things differently, I thought Hastigs played O.k, especially in the first half. They were all over him like a rash in the first 10. Shut him down.
Ok never s/b rarely. Fair enough, the rabbits in 21, but they finished 6th in 2020. There may have been times when their first up opponents finished top eight in the same year. However, their previous year ladder position gives the impression that it was unexpected. For example 2001 Bulldogs finished 2nd. 11th the previous year. The only genuine top 4 side they’ve had to deal with first up is Manly in 2014.Off the top of my head last year in round 1 they beat a side that went on to be grand finalists. More often than not they are featured in a marquee game to start the season.
I did see this in a news article through the week. 1st number in brackets is what that team finished the year before, second number is what they finished that year.Off the top of my head last year in round 1 they beat a side that went on to be grand finalists. Not too many marquee games in that lot. Mostly middle 8 teams and below.
2008 v Warriors (7th) (8th) 2009 v St George (7th) (1st) 2010 v Cronulla (15th)(14th)
2011 v Manly (8th)(2nd) 2012 v Canberra (15th)(6th) 2013 v St George (9th)(14th)
2014 v Manly (4th)(2nd) 2015 v St George (11th)(8th) 2016 v St George (8th)(11th)
2017 v Canterbury (7th)(11th) 2018 v Canterbury (11th)(12th) 2019 v Brisbane (=5)(8th)
2020 v Manly (6th)(13th) 2021 v Souths (6th)(3rd) 2022 v WT (13th)( ??)
If you go back to 1998, it becomes more obvious that Storm have been given a free ride. I can understand why the nrl would do this to launch rl in afl heartland, but what if it doesn’t stop there? What if this favouritism extends to other areas? What if it’s common knowledge among referees? As an example?I did see this in a news article through the week. 1st number in brackets is what that team finished the year before, second number is what they finished that year.
