what ERA did u support THE CLUB

. Went on to hate them with a passion as a teenager as I went to high school in borderline Dog territory so everyone supported them, which made me hate them even more because they were shoved down your throat everywhere you looked.
Similar story,

What school?

Ps - I hate the dogs more today than ever

Been a Balmain boy had no choice but follow the Tigers.
The walk along Darling St through Rozelle down to the ground we used to get full of mischief. A dozen or more kids kids ranging from 8-14 on the hill or behind the western posts playing football whilst the game was on.

We would line up at the change rooms after the game with our autograph books trying to get signatures and if you were lucky they would let some kids into the change rooms. Naked Benny, Siro and Blocker I've seen it all. Lol.

Good old days. Hard to believe Laurie Nicolls would have been 100 years old this past January.

Grown up in a dragons family, surrounded by dogs fans.

Sironen, Roach, Jack and Elias

I was hooked.
Never been as shattered after a footy game than '89 GF. Those legends deserved a premiership, especially Junior.
It's unfair that some absolute champions of the game never won a GF but some bloke like Momirovski, who's probably only played 20/30 odd games has won 2.

Were you shattered after 2010

For sure, but I knew the refs were always going to give the Dragons a massive leg-up that night so I sat there the whole game thinking it was inevitable TBH.
That Dragons premiership was the most NRL heirachy-assisted premiership I've ever seen, it was a fix. They got gifted one, it was a feel good fairytale for the code supposedly.

Was devastated after the loss to Parra in '09, when Taniela busted his leg, sort of knew that was our chance for a premiership that year evaporated. Was a huge build-up of hype around that game, we played well, Benji's insane flick pass for the Ashford try and then maggot Hayne's arsey bounce on his chip and chase. Was a hard loss to take.

The loss against the Roosters hurt more than the Dragons loss. I still vividly remember Lui, in front of me taking a shot in extra time. Missed by a coat of paint. Probably the most painful loss i have ever experienced.

Grew up at lived in Balmain from the 70’s-90’s. Supporting the Tigers since the 80’s. Moved /lived in Manly in the late 90’s. When the merger was looking like happening , i thought I’ve got a get out clause here to maybe try and support a successful team team in the area in which I live. With that thought I started getting a vomit taste in my mouth and gave myself a few uppercuts. WestsTigers fan since 2000.

My treks to Lidcombe Oval involved jumping down the canals with a couple of mates as a short cut.
6 years old I guess, so this started in . . . gulp . . . 1968 odd.
Obviously was a Wests supporter, and when the ultimatum was put forward by the League, I was ready to walk away from the game if we had to merge with the bulldogs. I saw Balmain struggling to swallow their planned merger/takeover by Parra . . . . and it seemed a good fit of a couple of battling teams with no real hatred between them.
Been a happy WT fan since.
Not happy with the overall results, so much . . . but you know what I mean.
Both clubs previous track records of little success made the merger seem more palatable - shame we haven't improved in the lack of success 🙂

Moorebank
Had a cousin lived there - near the golf course, got up to some no good there as as a 10 year old resulting in golfers searching through the bush for up to an hour baying for blood.
He would be much older than you though and moved away yonks ago.

It’s actually not in Moorebank. It’s the other side of Newbridge Road in Chipping Norton. Yet they called it Moorebank High 🤷🏻‍♂️

Had a few ex players and officials too. Ian Parnaby ex referee was the DP, and Allan Fallah was my PE teacher. Hilarious dude.

Glebe boy, schooled and partied in Balmain. Saw Raper, Gas, Barnes Kelly , Diamond etc , so a long time fan of the Tigers and now Weststigers. It's been a tough road lately, i think bad Administration has put us a long way behind . Sheens appears the answer, but dealing with the Wests board may present problems.
