Madge is responsible for team selections and preparing the team, so as to build a consistently competitive team.
But if he is not prepared to make the tough decisions and make players accountable, then he isn’t selecting the team at all, it’s automatic selection no matter how crap you play.
And if we are continually playing at this substandard level, attack-wise and defense, while not being up to the task physically and mentally, then he isn’t doing the coaching properly either.

I was all for Madge, a hard-nosed coach who had the drive and the winning CV.
Yes it’s only round 3, but swift and decisive action needed to take place. This team selection, albeit only round 3, already speaks to our culture. A losing culture with no accountability and no initiative from the top. As a fan looking for any glimmer of hope, this is utterly uninspiring and shows no ambition. He has lost my confidence vote.

Those changes will not make one iota of difference.
If anything, Seyfarth did not deserve to be a scapegoat. Like he is the difference maker anyway! 😖

The 2 teams have the 2 fastest play the ball speed games and teams are letting both clubs play the ball fast - it's as though teams know if we have a fast game they will get walked over.

The Warriors forwards have actually defended ok and all average over 80%+ effectiveness the issue has been the halves haven't been able to defend (Taylor missed 11 tackles last week) which then opens their backrowers to move more across than normal.

They kick long often and go for the mtrs, they are top 8 in the kick defusal rate as well

They do make line breaks and Walsh is a real threat with his step, speed and numbers game.

They average around 10mtrs a run whilst we average a poor 8.2mtrs lowest in the NRL.

Despite averaging more line breaks, meters and offloads the Warriors haven't dominated any forward clashes yet and have a very high (30+ missed tackles) a game.

They do play a middle / edge and block play tactics alot so we need to be cautious of the ball movement behind the edge player about 25mins into the game. Both games they have changed ball movement activities at roughly the sametime and its when they make a run.

I'm hoping that Stefano & Tamou crack the 100mtr mark, Garner back will hold firm in defence and the kicking game will go along the ground over ariel.
