The players never own their losses. I'm afraid the only way to attract top quality players and turn over the current playing roster is to find a coach that players want to play under-I don't see Madge as that coach with all the bad wraps he gets in the media. Might be time for a Ciraldo, Flanagan or Kristian Woolf purely on the basis of attracting players to the club.

I think our club looks stale to players looking for a new club - a new approach is needed. It's also time for Mr Triguboff to take an active role in the recruitment drive - not in identifying players but what he can offer to players after football/investments etc being truly invested in the club wanting it to succeed on and off the field like Politis at the Roosters or Russell at the Bunnies (love them or hate them). Many clubs would die to have our Junior nursery and supporter base - c'mon Tigers let's make it happen.

Madge is "Safe" for this year according to sheens but will be on the block next year if we don't perform early on

The only reason to delay is possible doubt that Doueihi will fully recover from the surgery?
They would be getting very close to the 1st Monday in August I think?
 
Reality is we won’t do anything until we develop our own juniors. They got their act together last year so at best you are talking 2025 before we do anything. It’s that simple players are being told by managers not to sign with us. We have a very bad reputation.

How we signed Api and Papalli is beyond me tbh.

Gee, i think i have watched nearly every Tigers game in recent years and i like AD. But seriously he would not make 5/8 in any other side in the comp. You are dreaming if you think he would improve this side playing in the halves! He will be lucky to make the top 13! Piease name a slower 1/2 or 5/8 in the comp. We need speed and someone elusive in these positions.

I just hope that if AD comes back from injury and Brooks moves on, AD gets an extended run at the 6 and isn't moved around the park. Otherwise he will just be a very expensive utility player & another Mbye.

Laurie was and still is our best FB, if he has some issues these needs to be identified and corrected, and if he cannot improve lets search for the new FB. And I repeat, of the players we have ATM he is our best FB by miles!

We haven't tried To'a at FB yet. Hopefully he is the answer. Good under the high ball, strong runner and doesn't make glaring, game-losing errors: that's a start I guess.

I've written before Hastings and Doueihi would be the slowest halves pairing in the history of slow halves pairings. Both belong in the forwards.

Agree, the Doueihi @ 6 experiment should now be on the memorabilia shelf.
