The missing 70 seconds

So we take the two with 4 mins left on the clock. Titans have a player injured so ref stops the clock. Player finishes getting treatment and we tell the ref we're taking the two and yet he didn't restart the clock. The clock only restarts as he's running in to kick the ball and then stops sheet the goal is awarded.

You get 90 seconds to take the kick at goal and yet only 16 seconds were taken off the clock. You take an extra minute off the clock is the time was managed correctly and they never even get the chance to score at the death.

Crazy how these things just keep happening to us.

Yep that was BS. Kept waiting for the cheat to signal time back on but he didn't until about a second before Brooks kicked the penalty.
A bit different to Mitch Moses a week or 2 ago running about 2-3 minutes off the clock at the end of a match while kicking a penalty goal.

Should not be even taking that kick ….no confidence in Brooks to manage the game for repeat sets cause he is a choker under pressure and short kicks are a joke ….
Time to go Brooks if the coach was confident that kick never happen if you have a player like Cronk who can close a game

Taking the points and killing the clock isn't a bad option. The problem was we didn't kill the clock how it should have been. They wouldn't have even had the ball if the ref did his job properly.

In the unlikely event that the media bother to run with this there will be another apology from the NRL and all will be forgotten. On the other hand had it happened to The Princess of Pawwa it would have been front page news for a week and NRL heads would role. Unlevel playing field much.

You are correct, I was complaining about this last night & my Wife gets stuck into me, I have had a enough of these decisions against us.

The time wasn’t lost by the ref. He blew a penalty and shortly afterwards time had to be stopped for an injury. Brooks had set up and was ready to take the kick. Time goes back on when play commences, in this instance when Brooks was starting the kick.

The time could have been taken off the clock by Brooks not being ready to kick, Brooks adjusting the ball on the tee, taking a tap and playing on.

Since Turdberg became the head of the NRL clubs have been treated differently both on and off the field, the A clubs and the B clubs for lack of a better term.No suprise we are in category B-.I had hoped when he was thrown out things would change for the better sadly that has not happened and you still see percieved bias in the actions of the NRL particularly from the referees and their associated heirachy. The best referee was Cecchin and he resigned last year possibly because he was constantly overlooked for the top position, certainly he made mistakes but at least from an outsiders point of view they where honest mistakes.
My respect for the honesty and integrity of the administration has never been lower and i have been following the sport from the mid 1960's.
Apologies for the rant but i am sick to death of the blatant bias shown from the administrators of the game,we are one of many who get shafted but it seems to happen more often to us than most.

Cecchin was the best ref for years and actually left twice because he wasn’t in the boys club and was treated poorly. It’s sad because if the others followed his lead we would be in a better position.
