Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Re Gildart he is showing improvement each week which is all I ask.
Against the Titans his defensive mindset was hold and hit, previous rounds he would run up and fracture the line. With the ball he does create half chances, I'm sure over time as he gets use to the speed & size of the nrl they will start changing into tries as well.

Andrew Johns ripping into Wayne Bennett for meeting with Kalyn Pongha while he is contracted to Newcastle is interesting. Wasn't he trying to lure Brooks to Newcastle promising to fix his game while he was contracted to the WTs?
No such thing as fair in RL. Kill or be killed.

Would you like a list, that we didn't see a future with, this page isn't big enough
I’m not saying there isn’t any I’m just making the point that there’s a heap of juniors that we’ve had with wraps on them that never kicked on as expected and the number that have (whether still at the club or not) is low in comparison.

At the end of 2023 Luke Brooks, Jahrome Hughes and Cameron Munster are all off contract
Hughes reportedly going to re-sign with Storm on 800k
Which means Munster would have to take a pay cut on his current $1 million
Brooks reportedly on 900k to $1m in 2023 - throw Brooks money plus whatever it takes at Munster
On NRL360 this week you could see Braith was annoyed Hughes was going to be re-signed by Storm leaving less $$$ for Munster
Good ploy but in the real world we know Munster will stay at the storm for reportedly a lot less than he is currently on and the NRL will sign off on it.

What a massive hypocrite given what has happened (and continues to happen) with brooks.

I don’t understand why people want to sack Madge, just look at his record over the last 3 and a bit years.
Yep look at the players that he had to work with.
Packer, only good for pissing on Broncos oval and sat on the sidelines for most of his contract.
Grub, how many games did he play?
Moses Mbye, he'll be in NSWRL soon, overrated and overpaid.
Packers mate who retired injured.
Who else, can't think with my teeth out.
Point is, when Madge won GF coaching at Souths, have a look at the roster.
He can coach, needs a good roster and a good football director. The club only has to support them.
We are starting to do this and get support. [Sheens]
The trouble is it's coming in drips and drabs.
Covid has slowed down the COE.
I said in one of the predictions topics that it is better that we come come home strong this year and get momentum going in 2023 because we'll have a better roster and the COE will be up and running and the club structure will be better.
We will sign more players, that I'm confident in. They will join Api and Kori, Stef and the other players we keep.
Add the pathway players who will push through.
Lets put some more positive topics up instead of repetitive negative stuff over and over in slight name change topics.

Watched Pele play yesterday. Very raw but him and Stef would make a good aggressive combination into the future. Get it done.

I reckon that’s likely to happen. He’ll stay on at the club on less cap money but with a third party sponsorship to make it reasonable.
It seems the most likely conclusion. With their new big 3 all signed up long term the idea of Munster linking up with the dolphins and breaking up their spine might just encourage some of their wealthy benefactors to come up with a decent 3rd party deal.
