To'a will only be an injury backfill squad player for us unless some more favorable players of Madge are moved on. To'a is a winger depth signing - nothing more

Nofa and Ken won't get displaced anytime soon regardless of form we have seen that from Madge. If he makes grade it won't be on the wing unless one of them gets injured.

To'a won't get infront of JTJ and Gildart let alone the injured players returning over the next 6-10 weeks. Again he will only get gametime if injuries hit.

Fullback he isn't getting any time so that's not an option.

He will struggle to get into the first grade run on side as a regular unless Madge has a change or approach (unlikely) or injuries hit.

In regards to Madden, what other teams are going to offer him a starting 7 gig? Hard to imagine Dogs would given they already have 3 rubbish 7's on the books. Hard to imagine Newie will unless they see him as an upgrade on Clifford or Clune. Warriors also unlikely unless they rate him higher than CHT or Nikorima. Cant think of any club off the top of my head who's legit is in need except for Tigers.

Dogs, Newcastle, Brisbane, Redcliffe and even maybe Souths would all be potentially interested for starters.

I intentionally didn't make comment on his ability, his ceiling or what I think should happen. I agree with your view on To'a on potential, capability and if he should play now over others.

My comments were very clear around being real with our squad currently and how Madge picks players in positions.

Do you think Madge will pick Toa over Laurie, Noffa, JTJ, Gildart or Ken anytime soon (meaning they get demoted not via injury) let alone TT and AJ once they come back from injury?

Agreed. He is a lot more aggressive in attack and defence than he was last year and is looking for involvement. Lets see how long it lasts.

Ive concluded Madge is totally clueless about backline play,player development and selection....
Lawrie/Nofa/Douhi/Brooks have all gone backwards under Madge..whilst none of our young backs have developed incl Cini/Toulau.
Madge IS the main problem..even though his development of forwards is ok..done a solid job with Lucy/Offa/Stefano
If u want further evidence,look what Siebold did to the Bunnies backline the year after Madge left..just set it alight!
Madge needs a dedicated backs coach if he wants a future in NRL
Maybe Barrett will be available soon??

Yeah Madge doesn't make players accountable when they aren't performing. It's hard to do that when you have no cattle but with To'a we have something.

Do you think this COULD be cos forwards are tougher and respond positively to the hard work / expectation Madge is trying to put into place?

Where as the backs are divas and shirk away from the tough stuff...

Yep fair, I did misread your angle when scrolling through...

But yes I do think To'a can be picked ahead of our centres. How many tries have they scored or assisted? If we start winning then they're safe, if we keep losing then there will be changes

That's the talk, it's going to be very very interesting how their roster looks over the next 2yrs..... I would be going hard at some of their young talent (because they have some good ones) as bringing in these players on large salaries is going to bite.
