When people write a team U on here with some current players and imports I always think is this a team that will make.it to the finals? Are they the only players available?

I think we should be looking for a top 4 team. Not a top 8 team. So if we are trying to make a.top 4 team only Stefano, Papalii and API would be in it so far. Douhie and maybe Hastings would be in the top 8 team. The rest of the squad would be a bottom 8 team.

We really need more recruits because none of the juniors won't be ready for years yet. Centre, wings, fullback, lock, front rowers. We are still quite away from being competitive.

If we can Jag a Nikora and a couple of decent backs like Farnsworth we might start be getting near a top 8 team. We can only hope anyway.

Then BJ is trash talking us everywhere in the media. Suddenly Luc's contract negotiations go sour.

If we came up with that very close offer (say 650k), we would be having him in a Tigers jumper next season prior to Bro leaving. Now we would have had to match the Cows or offer more.

The question for Nikora will be whether an extra 600 over three years is worth leaving a club who will likely be in the finals each year, have great stability and depth.

Do Sharks really have that? They missed the finals 2021, were borderline finals 2019-2020 (out in straight sets). An injury to Hynes or their hooker would really set the cat amongst the pigeons. I still think they are a mile off the Top 2 sides as shown on the weekend.

Mac has already been sacked by the club twice for being useless, playing favourites and letting his relationships cloud his judgement so we sign mates rather than the best players we can. And he got sacked by the Dogs too. He doesn't have the runs on the board and really should be removed from the club ASA

I agree - problem is Maguire spent 5 years in that system so if he didn't pick up how the place was run during his time there he never will.
