It's time to take the fight back to HBG

doubt there is anything legally wrong with the original debenture contract ,it really needed a used by date.
fingers crossed the judge is woke ,and twists the law 2modern day expectations of how a community should be run
There isnt anything legally wrong with the debenture system. I would suggest this is why the liquor and gaming review didnt go anywhere or produce any real outcomes. Because a government department review is going to look at the compliance aspect of things

That doesnt mean its a good or useful form of governmance for a professional football club though, that would just be stating the obvious

I think the legal action from the Andreacchio's is potentially a good avenue...

I don’t disagree there are significant structural and governance flaws within the Tigers set-up. It’s clear HBG are the major issue and problem.

However that doesn’t excuse SM’s public praise of HBGs decision to invest in the Mariners and divert more funds away from the club.

Name one other NRL club CEO that would openly praise a decision that is detrimental to their club.
I think your point is fair. After all Shaun Mielekamp is supposed to be the CEO of the Wests Tigers football club. Does he still visit this board and answer questions? Because that would be a fair one to pitch...

I'd take those comments with a grain of salt, mate. No other NRL CEO faces the ownership challenges and internal division Shaun has to manage. To get results, he needs HBG on board, so publicly undermining their decisions would be counterproductive.

I’m not asking him to publicly undermine them. I’m asking him not to publicly support a dumb decision. There is a difference.

Im very happy where Shaun is placed in regards to ownership and governance.
Personally I think he’s useless. The way he handled the AD situation was disgusting. His claims around Lidcombe Oval being important are laughable, the embarrassing interview with Ritchie and the stupid claim about playing a finals game at Leichhardt Oval our season was cooked are just a few examples that come to mind.

Then there’s decisions like Pat Richards being appointed GM with a zero qualifications.

The communication or lack thereof from the club is a joke as well.

And any CEO that honestly tries to say fan connection has an effect on the club is soft and weak.

Tigers fans like him because he engages but he’s a useless hack.

No I don't like him because of that, I called him on the AD issue to his face. He knows where I stand on that.

But I know where the club is in relationship to ownership and Im willing to say I trust him in that regard.

That’s fair and especially since you’ve had that face to face time with him too.

Given you dont provide any detail on what ownership i will assume you mean an independant board?

I trust Shaun's intentions working with HBG. I don't consider him a HBG lackey regardless of what he says publicly in relation to the owners of the club.

I would 100% say if I did and actually had those concerns for a while.

Im just giving my opinion after meeting with Shaun on many occasions and interviewing him a couple of times as well.

I think that you'd be better off trying to debate some of the issues that others have raised rather than reminding ppl that you've met Shaun many times.

Shaun should not be offering any opinion on HBG investment in other sports.

Don't need to, my issues with HBG have been discussed many times.

People know where I stand on that.
