Beat us up when we were down there end to many times , those leg ups were wrong , also them. Holding us down no issue us holding down I second and he’s blowing the pea out of it

What a horrible call. The bloke did his best to get the Slimey's home.. failed..
We let ourselves down in the discipline stakes..but were good enough to overcome..this time..good signs..
The worst decision was calling Nofoaluma grounding the ball in goal.. that was play on and the bloke was 2m away..
Penalty against us for sureProblem is, its a nothing first offence from Hastings. The reaction far outweighed the first offence. If that's the case and it's acceptable from now, the next time one of our players gets some facial attention, you just get up, shove the opposition player in the head and get awarded a penalty.
What a joke this league is. No team in the league is that disciplined to not commit multiple offences each game. We always seem to be on the wrong side of the officiating every game. The only set restart we got was on the last play of the game, so completely irrelevant.
But on the Mikaele dropped ball. Butler said Matterson was being penalised for hanging onto TM and dragging him around which he kinda did. Sure Thomas should have done better but I don’t understand how you get a penalty, the video shows evidence of the penalty but they get the decision,The two decisions that were overturned - one in each team's favour - were embarassing to Butler. Lane's knock on when contesting the bomb and Mikaele's error in the play the ball were obvious.
As for the set restarts, one of my gripes is that they're not tallied together with penalties. A penalty count of 6-4 appears even but add the 5-0 set restarts and it becomes very lopsided. Another problem I have with set restarts is that without a stoppage in play, there is no scrutiny of the original infringement. The cynic in me thinks it's another way for the NRL to avoid accountability for the appalling state of officiating.
It's this stuff that concerns me - Luciano Leilua "try" a few weeks ago was another one that was overlooked as well. THere has been major decisions in games that warrant a second look being brushed over - and every time it seems to be a struggling team. What a horrible call.
The video ref got involved when the ref incorrectly gave them a dropout instead of a 20m and somehow didn't seem to say anything with this crap call.
The bias is there for all to see. When the top teams do something wrong, the other team must have done something illegal for it to happen. If the bottom team does something amazing, they must have cheated somehow. That's the mentality they go with.
The call was wrong, but hypothetically, if it could be challenged and it was overturned, where would the play resume? As the ref blew the whistle before nofo was tackled, the ball would go back to Parra I would think. Otherwise the ref would need to make an arbitrary judgement on where nofo would've been tackled if the play was allowed to continue.I don't understand why the tigers didn't have a captains challenge on the play when nofa was trying to run the ball back into play from the dead ball line in our ingoal,it was a clear reflection blunder when we could have made something of that play.
There where interesting calls all game .. the one you have mentioned clearly came from the bunker to the ref's ear .. looking at the replay .. the tackled Parra player rakes hand/fingers across Hastings face that appears like a eye gouge .. so Hastings feels this and then puts his hand on the Parra players face shoving his face to the ground .. to which the Parra players stands up shoves Hastings face .. The bunker only reports to the ref, Hastings shove on the face .. not he attempted rake / eye gouge by the Parra player .. !! Penalty should have gone to us, not them .. !!Still don't understand how the parra player can get up, shove Hastings in the face in front of the ref and then get awarded the penalty. Even if Hastings gave him some facial treatment on the ground, it happens multiple times every game.
Thank you!!! Thought I was finally losing it, always next week 🙂The refs performance was disgusting. I felt the Eels were spending more time in the ru I than the tigers were but it was the Tigers copping the penalties.
The fact that he refused to blow a penalty for James Roberts being tackled without the ball was a joke and nearly cost us the game. The held call on Noffa was equally as bad and gave Parra another set on our line. We would have had an opportunity to counter attack as well.
The NRL needs to drop him back to reserve grade.
Yeah. It was yet another weak refereeing display and I don't like to harp on about it considering we won. However, questions still need to be asked about the blatantly terrible calls across multiple games this week. The standard needs to be lifted and Annessley needs to grow some balls and own the rubbish. Annessley would make a great politician as he never really owns up to or answers anything properly. Then you had the call on Nofa being tackled in goal .. he was slung to the ground with not hand holding there .. therefore Nofa was entitled to take off which he did .. but no the "Neville nobody" ref called held and lets have a drop out .. but about five mins later a Parra player got tackled and had 3 Tigers on him whilst on the ground and he wriggled out off the ground and played on .. for the ref only to call play on .. wtf .. !!
Then we had a Parra player being held in a stand up tackle for like a full a full minute .. then he manages to pop out a pass over the top and the ref again called play on .. crikey when is a player held .. !!
Butler specifically said that he was penalizing Matterson for holding on to Mikaele while he was trying to play the ball, when Parra wanted to challenge. He emphasized this point to Gerard Sutton, but Sutton overlooked that, or should I say totally ignored that part of the incident. But on the Mikaele dropped ball. Butler said Matterson was being penalised for hanging onto TM and dragging him around which he kinda did. Sure Thomas should have done better but I don’t understand how you get a penalty, the video shows evidence of the penalty but they get the decision,
