The refereeing

The Pawwa fans were comedy.

Apparently we were the ones that had the skinny 10 meters all game and they were perfect.

Of course they were silent when Roberts (I think it was?) was held back in the final couple mins of the game. We should have had a penalty goal right infront to win the game
Again!!! Yes! Keep it coming, need to call it out as regularly as possible (because it’s killing the game)

It's this stuff that concerns me - Luciano Leilua "try" a few weeks ago was another one that was overlooked as well. THere has been major decisions in games that warrant a second look being brushed over - and every time it seems to be a struggling team.

It's as if only certain aspects are "looked over" when what's being sold to us the punter is that everything is being watched in the background by the bunker.

Apart from Nofoaluma being told to stop and a drop out being called, and THAT decision not being overturned, another concerning one was the Try in the Dragons/Knights game where Lomax jumped on Frizell after the apparent blunder.

Go back and watch the lead up - Frizell actually inadvertently grounds the ball in goal - constituting a line drop out. I haven't got a screenshot here of it, but I know it's easily found on the equivalent Knights Facebook Groups to our Tigers ones - and they lost 21-16.

Then the Patrick Herbert No Try for the Warriors against the Roosters.

This weekend has highlighted plenty of examples or "haves/Have nots" in the NRL.

Credit to the Tigers for overcoming the odds for once.

However coupled with a couple of rough calls and forward passes leading to tries in the storm game, and a few rough calls in the Warriors game, we could very easily be sitting at 3-3 or even 4-2 if we had gotten up in the Titans game.
Pat Herbert is the Titans centre. Was it Pompi or Arthur’s your referring to?

In response to the in goal adjudication. There was a captains challenge last year which proved true where they challenged to bunker to look at the footage closer to a 20m start or a drop out (can’t remember the exact result)
Every time something occurs in the in goal they say they will review it however in reality they are still trying to speed the game up, in that case I believe they only spend actual time reviewing the decision if it is a ref called line drop out as they have the 45 secs to check. Everything else being pulled up slows play.

Butler specifically said that he was penalizing Matterson for holding on to Mikaele while he was trying to play the ball, when Parra wanted to challenge. He emphasized this point to Gerard Sutton, but Sutton overlooked that, or should I say totally ignored that part of the incident.

That was the only thing Harry Highpants Butler ruled in our favour & Sutton overruled him.
Yes but ‘the butler’ should of refused the challenge in the first place, as u can’t challenge the refs interpretation of a ‘crowding tackle’.
Gee I prefer to have Geves than that clown

Just watched Annessly Rd 6 briefing where he devoted 15 minutes saying ref's don't favour elite teams on close calls .He preceded this by selecting a couple of examples of decisions that were actually close calls id say carefully selected incidents one roosters game one dragons game. He did not address any incident in tigers game ?would like to ask him did Nofu really ground the ball as ref said leading to a goal line drop out instead of our ball in the field of play
amongst others I'd say were not 50/50 but just wrong .or do I believe eels only once inside 10m in whole game and zero hold downs against us.I remember we lost a 2 tries a piece game against warriors when Luciano try not even sent to bunker

After carefully studying the NRL over an extended period of time I think the following multi could be good value next Saturday:

Ziggy for first try scorer (for Souffs);
Souffs to win the 50/50's;
Souffs to win the penalties;
Souffs to win the restarts; and
Ennis to change his pants at least once.

I'm just worried that Annusley will come out on Tuesday and say I lost regardless.

Noticed the Mole has a piece highlighting the lopsided counts against the Tigers in this game. Suggesting that the six again count being all one way was implausible and the NRL has a real problem.

Penalties paying too much not to take a stab at. Ziggy could even go for a double 🤣

This is just an insult to the punters:

Meanwhile ,Annesley defended a decision not to hand Newcastle a crucial late penalty for offside in their loss to St George Illawarra from the penultimate kick-off, claiming it was line-ball call.

i say this without bias

absolute shocking officiating that game from both bunker and ref

very weird calls for both sides
Worst ref in the game, amongst a crop of bad ref's.

They keep trying to screw us out of wins.

We did get a few calls go our way tonight though.

They had a shot at Chris Butler last week for not finding one 6 again against Parra.

First Souths try looked for all money like about 3 knock ons by Johnston, am I wrong?

Also think the high tackle in the build up on tamou was rubbish call.

Twal sin binning was harsh, particularly when Souths did same thing to only cost them a repeat set.

Feel the 5th tackle reset before souths' last try was also extremely harsh.

Not a well reffed game, some lucky calls for us too.
