Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Have we got any word on potential players coming , we use to get some inside info but seems to have dried up, you would think we are chasing multiple players for next year

I still cant believe anasta is a player manager its so weird. Doesn't that role have any sort of qualification necessary, perhaps he has those dunno but it's still weird to see

Braith says Dolphins have no chance of signing Munster. Laurie is going to become a hot property if not signed long term.

2023, not 2024. they'll do the deal and live with Milford for 12 months before he heads across. Daine needs more performances like last week before either party comes to the negotiating table.

Doueihi is a guy you want in the team, he cares and competes for everything, he makes others try harder.
He was safe at fullback but did not offer much in attack. He wasn't great at 5/8 but might be a fantastic 5/8 in a year or 2 with more experience playing at centre. At centre he also gives us a kick target on the right side.
He also offers a lot of versatility. If he starts at centre and you have a centre/2nd row type of player on the bench like Garner, the 2 of them cover an injury to 2nd row, centre, 6, 7 and 1
He got nominated for Daly M 5/8 of the year. Saying that he wasn't great last year is massively harsh. He carried the team's attack last year. After he got injured we were a shambles with the ball

I don't think anyone was seriously talking about Munster coming here.

The topic of Munster came up when we compared the combined salary of AD/Brooks would actually be less than what Munster would sign with a club & if it was an option would we prefer taking Munster over AD/Brooks. It's a mute point we would have a higher chance of Garry Jack playing fullback than Munster wearing a Wests Tigers jersey.

Re AD, alot no doubt is banked on the success of Hastings/Brooks over the next few weeks.
If we win more than we lose then I can't see Madge changing that dynamic anytime soon.
I think the halves will continue to shine if we keep the same blueprint:

- fullback, wingers and four forwards ran for 100+ metres (well over in some cases)
- every forward found their offload
- Luci and Noff running hard and busting tackles
- Able to defend errors and penalties in the early exchanges
- more energy on kick chase

This set a terrific platform for our halves that we haven’t had consistently. Hopefully this is the standard Madge is expecting now.
