If we had every player available, We would have a different team and that includes Centres.

Oliver Gildart comes from a competition that is not Defence focused.

He supports well and takes the opposition on. There is a lot that I like about his attitude and intent.

He will improve.
When he returns to the ESL…….

Is it possible that it’s not his size or lack of pace which is the issue , but his indecision? Just saying, hasn’t suddenly got slower or smaller. If that’s the case, then he could come good? Needs a season in cup?
You were right mate, he ran a lot more against Manly and it's because of confidence.
I saw glimpses of quality mixed with some ordinary stuff. He scored well in supercoach.
He's slowly improving and if he continues to improve then we have a handy centre.
He's finding his feet.
I'm prepared for him to be guided a bit, it's not as if this year is "the year"
If he comes good later in the season so be it.

Massive liability. I don’t want to see him anywhere near the first grade team.
Oh come on, really. Replace him with who, Roberts. On that I say yes, and the back up to Roberts and his bung legs.
How can we build depth if we don't BUILD.
People were saying that about Peachey too. "He's no good, get rid of him" before he's had a chance to settle abd get used to players and the system. Against Manly he was put on early and played good, should have had 2 tries but 1 denied, and racked up 60 SC pts.
Are you telling me Gildart hasn't improved.
He had more SC points than any other back with 85, To'a 84. Only Offa had more with 94. The rest if the team were around 50 or less.
He and Garner ran the most, over 100.
The coach said at the start of the year he will be a work in progress and in my opinion he is improving.
He has faults, blind freddy can see that but I can see talent that is untapped.
Or we do what we have always done, let more players go and start again, and again...

I thought he played well on the wing, he definitely has some attacking skills and with a good centre inside him would score plenty of tries.

Only issue would be how many he let in.

He didn’t look fast when chasing Koula down the sideline? Koula was pulling away. Perhaps it was the camera angle? But Brooks seemed to come from nowhere, go past Oliver, and round up Koula?

Yep. Gildart played in the dart as a centre and I think thats his position, he certainly isn't a speedster.
Brooks is quick, what about the full length of the field try against Souths [I think it was Souths]
Garner is probably the quickest. 🤣🤣
I wish he wasn't leaving.
At this rate we'll have no depth...and people want to get rid if players 🤔

Has not improved he let the Manly players run outside and around him at will. He is one of the worst backs in the NRL period. An utter disgrace and like I have said previously he will cost us games with his pathetic lack of defence.

Fair enough, you are just focusing on errors, the whole team is not faultless, he's not a total cluster or as you stated "a total disgrace" goodness me thats harsh.
He has done some good stuff and is improving.
Agree to disagree.

Did Garner’s form seem to improve a lot after his move to Panthers was made public?

I think so, also I think he's relishing the change.
As they say, "a change is as good as a holiday"
He was injured at start of the year so I think he's starting to feel in top condition.
That reminds me, I must send him that email about his late dad.
