It is curious that as a rule their forwards come out here and kill it and their backs come out here and get killed. I don't fully understand why.
In the old days the backs were fine...
- I think the comps were a little more even back then maybe...
Blokes like Ellery, Schoey and countless others did really well here.

From the Mid 90's (Ish) on, Not so much....
Might co-incide with when the likes of Wendall, Lote etc. came on and we changed the mould of an NRL Winger...

Just cx the vid and the first two tries he's on the right then most of the other tries hes playing left, my opologies. Nice to have had a pleasant conversation.
Unfortunately Cobar, the knockers on this forum cant give a bloke the chance to adapt to the NRL...Its the toughest comp in the world and Gildart is trying his best...I noticed George Williams who was the great playmaker in the Raiders team a couple of years ago benefitted from Gildarts power play in the ESL...
I say give the bloke a chance, our other potential centres are no where to be seen atm because of the shuffling around because of injuries...Gildart has played 7 NRL games others have played origin and have potential, very similar potential that Brooks had,it has taken him 170 games to show what he can offer the WTs now...

I think some people gain pleasure smashing others whether it's players or forum members, they seriously act like bullies and I played the devils advocate.
But mate you know and I know having played rep footy myself that knockers are a big part in sport. I just wish they would act more like supporters and not like politicians.
When someone makes a mistake its easy to jump on them in the future, unfortunately that's human nature hey

Brooks can bugger off to the UK too, he’s rubbish.

And thats your opinion...obviously you are more qualified than Madge and other stringent commentators...do you ever stop and evaluate what needs to be done to make it in the NRL or are you a beer swilling bloke with an opinion with no experience in the game..
Brooks has been the victim of endless Club icon scrutiny, change of coaches year after year, had the best potential of all juniors and you want to bag the guy while he does the work and you swill on the beers...yeah right the world is full of blokes with opinions but at least put your money where your mouth is and show us what you have done in the NRL arena since you can condemn a bloke for at least making it to this level...

Get back to the tinfoil hat construction mate, there’s no prerequisite of having played professionally to share a view here.

And no, no beer here.

Forwards in the super league still focus on physicality. So you see them being able to match it with guys here. When I talk physicality, I'm talking about gym work. It seems like there is less of a focus on the physical side of the game in England when it comes to backs. Speed, skills and learning the game seem to be more important.

This is a professional sporting team not a charity. He is dog poo and will never be any good in the NRL, he is being paid a good wage, maybe we should just sign up some local park footy players and give them a chance, jesus wept.

Yeah I’ll go ham if given a remote chance.

Tigers v Cowboys at Suncorp Stadium, 6.25pm (AEST)

Should Tigers persist with Oliver Gildart? The English international has struggled to adapt to the physicality of the NRL in his debut season Down Under. Gildart is at the top of the league for two unwanted categories – most try causes (13) and line breaks conceded at 14 alongside another centre, Morgan Harper, who has lost his place for the foreseeable future at Manly due to his defensive deficiencies.

Well this says what all of us have seen. How can Madge continue.to pick him? Yes we have so many injuries but fair dinkum you could put a cardboard cut out and it would put up the same numbers.

How do they qualify statistics for ‘most try causes’
Are they saying his actions definitively lead to 13 tries being scored? What are these actions? Wouldn’t they be picked up in other categories? That’s a weird stat.

Man he's playing with lack of confidence atm.

Wow wee. That's damaging.

Yes he is mate but 7 NRL games, the toughest comp in the world, others that become good players get to have about 50 games under their belt....at least he tries and if he leaves he will be better for Madges coaching and the experience...
