The Crichton deal at the Roosters sounds complex ( and probably a bit dodgy) to get him off the Roosters Would be great but unless the Roosters really want to make it happen to a team like the WTs it seems unlikely. They would never let him go to Souths. Probably not Penrith either.
I think FoxSport is quoting the dribblers on 360 here.

That’s the point. Somehow we’re close to the cap right now, so blowing a mil on a backrower means we’ll have to sacrifice a couple of our better players.

With Blore, Brooks, Doueihi, Hastings, Laurie all off contract next year this is an important point. I’d like to keep at least 4 of that 5, with Brooks up in there depending how much money he’d want and whether Doueihi takes the 6.

reckon Brooks will take a cut to play at 6 with Hastings in a successful club.
Hastings being so positive and a goal kicker has really taken some shine from Douhie, everyone says what a great leader he is but let's get back on the park first and then secondly where does he play I think this year he plays centre
That means you move Douhie on if we can sign a Stephen Crichton for 2024

Is it that you just want more time for the kid to develope physically?
What or how are you suggesting the NRL do this?
Are you hinting the age for entry into the NRL should be increased?

Yeah,Cobar I think they can scout kids young but make an age before they get into NRL level...say for example 20yrs before they can enter NRL because they are kids and these days the older players are physically brutal especially when you have 3/4 monsters tackling them...it was more of a thought channel because of all the injuries that are sidelining so many young guys or putting them out all together when big money is involved...just a topic of discussion and what others think...it has partly to do with signings and rumours...cheers mate...

Agree with moving laurie on, need a replacement tho, drinkwater would be handy.

Bryce Cartwright might be worth having a look at. Not sure what his deal is with Parra but now that Matterson is negotiating a new deal and he isn't getting much game time he could present good value. He can play.

Zero effort, low percentage player. The opposite of what we need.

And a giant cat to boot.

Laurie is a great player - safe under the high ball, good pace, great passing and the type of player every club needs. I don't understand why you would want to move him on. It's not as though we are overrun with good NRL players like the Panthers.
