We need to set a standard for ourselves. Last 2 years, we have had a few very bad games but more often than not, we play to the standard of the opposition and lose out with a bad 20-30 minute period.

I actually think we can and we have played defensively to the standard of Penrith and Melbourne, but only for a short period.

I think it also comes down to how Madge uses his bench, he needs to have a bit more communication maybe with the forwards and tell them their roles and minutes.

Kelma has played maybe 10 NRL games and it's unfair on him to be playing 80.

We just need to get smarter.

To win this game, Joe O needs to eye down Townsend every 5th tackle. Shut down their kicking game and they'll struggle.

TD, I'm sure he scored on debut againt Broncos at Suncorp/Lang Park so that could be an omen if he plays this weekend.
He played twice, I cant remember the second game.

Decent in attack normally, but can’t defend.

Very similar to Gildart in terms of deficiencies actually.

For all the guys on here bagging Gildart,he moved to the wing last week because of injury and did his best,scored a try and has some pace...
While your all bagging him he is playing what his 8th NRL game and your all riding him to be a failure...just remember Noffa can score a try with his tricky little dives and acrobatics,but he has been here for years and lets just as many tries in ...
Get off Gildarts back and let Madge do his job,otherwise get your coaches ticket and show us what you can come up with seeing we have injuries and minimal depth...
And yet Kepoa who has talent and hands like feet,Starford a future star but lets bombs fall instead of attacking them,and Kelma who cant help 4 players put an attacker on his back...
but just bag Gildart because you can....give him a chance,you gave many other players on big money plenty of chances for NOUGHT....

Probably won't impact the make up of the 17, but I just saw on twitter that Mikaele (was in jersey 20 anyway) is out with concussion...Fonua Pole in the reserves in his place.

Probably won't get a crack unless an injury strikes one of our forwards in the 17. At least good to see him being considered and included ahead of Dias. Probably jumps the queue ahead of Tuki too. A lot to like about Pole and how he is developing.
