If it’s $150k a season it would have to be top 30. How old is he? Is he 17 turning 18 next year?

I don't get how someone who apparently coached some of these guys in PRIMARY SCHOOL would have any idea on their contractual dealings several years later. Do people really keep in touch with their primary school teachers/coaches, and even if they did talking about contracts seems far fetched.

The majority of the Matts squad were on 2 year deals, I'd be surprised if Miller wasn't and if we hadn't already planned his progression and communicated this with him.

We simply can't lose him, if we want to build ourselves as a club that breeds its own talent we have to keep the cream if the crop with our first excellent junior team in a decade. I also can't help but think if our COE was ready it would excite these juniors to have access to such world class facilities.

The Long Serving Player Allowance is an allowance on top of the salary cap. Your salary cap is an extra $100k if you have had a player in your system for more than 8 years. I can't think of anyone other than Brooks or Nofo that qualifies.

It is also payable to players who have played 10 years in the NRL .. James Tamou Tyrone Peachy also qualify..
