Turnbull was a traditional Liberal and I imagine he is very happy today with Morrison booted.

This could be a really big moment because the Nationals and the Liberals are moving further apart predominantly because of climate change. Will they split ?

Turnbull is a traditional small government Lib but the world has changed a bit and he moved with those changes. The Liberal party needs to modernize itself. I can't see that working with the National party.

Na your right it was 10:30. I mixed that up.
Did she get paid the same?
Missus had an Indian supervisor that none of the staff could understand.
That sounds racist but not ill intended but I found that difficult to accept.
A supervisor should speak fluently in Ingrish. 🤣

Nearly all Indians that i've met are reasonably fluent and some are totally fluent in Ingrish,
Are you sure that this person was sober and not drunk?

the liberal vote is very poor and the Labor vote not that flash either
the greens and independents have changed the voting landscape
liberals need to reasses and try and target some of the teal independent vote next election.
Partly liberal party and partly scot Morrison potentially a new leader and new focus for next campaign might help
Yea lets see how far they have progressed and learnt from their mistakes - if they put that dropkick Dutton in charge it will show that nothing has changed.

Given the state of the world maybe a good election for the Libs to lose.

It also allows them to get rid of the unpopular Morrison rather than dumping him pre election so save face and can regroup whilst Lalor splash the cash and suck up to the Independents and Greens.

Dutton to me would be the wrong choice for leader but like WT their leadership cupboard is bare.

Shout out to Forum Poster "Earl" who well articulated the main reasons Libs lost. Well done Sir.

I doubt living standards matter one little bit to those safe liberal seats. The Eastern Suburbs and Northern Beaches aren't about doing it tough.

My take is the Libs stuffed up big time and Australians voted exceptionally well.

The Libs stuffed up with:-

1. Flirting a little bit with the crazy religious right.
2. They lacked action on climate change.
3. Keeping Morrison.
4. Not promoting more women and especially women that aren't crazy fringe right wing lunatics.

I'm really stoked and I'm not really political in that I don't care that much about Labor vs Liberal. I care about screwing over the religious right. They should have no say whatsoever in how a modern country is run.

People on the northern beaches are well aware about falling living standards.i have lived up here for the majority of my life and it is a common complaint.Certainly ignoring climate change has played a large part as has the lack of action to address corruption.

Christian values should always be upheld in our country in my opinion. Why don't you start your own athiest party next time and be happy

Pretty much the way i see it as well.
i sure as hell wasn’t going to vote for the nut job they put up for election.
I was talking to one of my Liberal mates yesterday. He said Deves carries on like a real [This word has been automatically removed] at the kids soccer games. chucked a pair of shin pads at the coach of her daughters team, uses the ‘don’t u know who i am“ stuff all the time.
On the policies side of things, you’d think the libs would done their research and worked out most of the people on the Northern Beaches actually care about the environment. hence Zali gets in, in a landslide.

The Teals won't have an impact thankfully.

Labor should win at least 76 seats meaning they have a majority. Even if they don't they will find many Liberals to vote with them on more centre Green policy as outlined in their plans.

For the Teals this will be a fad that wanes quickly but will be marvelous amorous life experience parading in parliament, women's magazines fantastic dinner party talking points while they out consume the rest of us.

Gotta watch these philanthropist types who know what's good for us. Like a pimp who makes slaves of his women makes his money then turns to philanthropy "To do good" promoting women's rights.

Nauseating really.
