Pretty much the way i see it as well.
i sure as hell wasn’t going to vote for the nut job they put up for election.
I was talking to one of my Liberal mates yesterday. He said Deves carries on like a real ***** at the kids soccer games. chucked a pair of shin pads at the coach of her daughters team, uses the ‘don’t u know who i am“ stuff all the time.
On the policies side of things, you’d think the libs would done their research and worked out most of the people on the Northern Beaches actually care about the environment. hence Zali gets in, in a landslide.
Deves seemed a bizarre pick, and a really bizarre issue to try and play wedge politics with - something that most people don't really consider an issue, let alone important to throw away their vote over.

The whole fiasco involving Deves was the perfect example on how to do things wrong in politics. If the libs vote Mr Potato Head into the leadership position it will annoy many moderate liberal voters outside of QLD even more

It was as though they had conceded to Zali pre election and just wanted to appease the far right.
Which is very strange considering traditionally the North Beaches had been such a strong Liberal area

that will bring the left votes across will it ?? no chance
it is the moderates in the party that lost the safe liberal seats against the teal independents
scary to think a party with 32 % primary vote is running the country
in saying that the liberal primary of 35 % was terrible too
unheard of statistics for government
Albo has plenty of division to work through

Sounds rather salty. That's the way the preferential voting system has worked since day dot. Also, the Liberal party only took 23.7% of the vote, unless you're counting the Nats as well who are a separate party.

And yes, the Liberal party would be more palatable to Labor voters if they were moderate. They would get more Labor voters alone if they had a decent climate policy. A lot of people went ALP and Greens on climate as a single policy issue.

I don't care, it has been a triumph for modern Australia either way and even Keneally struggling in Cabramatta, as she never should have taken the spot in the first place over the local.

If I drank champagne, I would be popping the cork now. So Jack and coke, along with an odd Peroni here I come.

A great day and after seeing the overwhelming amount of Liberal advertising in Dobell and Robertson on the roads to rugby today, so happy to see the seat of @Yossarian fall as well, creating a Liberal free Central Coast.

I was on a booth most of the day and at the after party. Best of all, the new member for Robertson is well credentialed, intelligent man. The contrast to Lucy Wicks is massive.
