No club who is serious about winning a game of football would be taking Luke Brooks out of 5/8 and moving him to hooker to accommodate for Jock Madden. We are not good enough to have a halves rotation on the bench. I am not saying that Luke Brooks is a superstar - he isn't - but he is a hell of a lot better than Jacob Liddle and Jock Madden.
Simpkin is better than Liddle and Madden as well - Liddle should be coming off the bench and Madden should be allowed to take up an offer with whoever he wants. What dummy half who takes himself seriously cannot make any effective tackles, cannot pass and cannot play for longer than 40 minutes? If Jacob is unhappy then go to the gym, get bigger, stay after training and learn to throw a pass, do extra video sessions and learn how to organise your ruck attack and do some aerobic fitness to become a better player. No one's advice or confidence is going to make him better at football, he will either work for it or succumb to his physical and mental fragility. Time to let him know that the reason he is a failure is because of him, not Madge, his teammates or anyone else.
Are there rumblings around the traps that anyone is interested in acquiring his services? People think Jeremy Marshall-King is shit - Wayne Bennett just signed him - did they come looking for Jacob Liddle? That should give Jacob an indication of where he sits in the grand scheme.
We need to get a Roy Masters type to consult with this team. The players are men, and they are flesh and blood, just like their opponents. Men not being able to get out of their own 30 meters with the wind at their backs against other men just does not cut it. What could be less confusing - catch a ball and use all of your physicality to progress that ball up the field against an opponent who is the same atomic make-up as you. I don't mind being weaker in elite skill areas and game management because we have the worst players - that is fine. But flesh and blood men not having the physicality to take it to other flesh and blood men in the same competition as them is absolute BS.

But we have no depth and with no one of any skill wanting to come here for ever, he had to make do with what was already at his disposal .

I agree but at the end of the day the club needs to be about effort not talking yourself up (like Mbye) 🙄. There are at least 6-8 players that are not improving in their deficiencies. So drop them until they learn.. couldnt care less if we get flogged. I just dislike it how when the Same players do the same crap plays.

Maguires team - clubs team they are employed by the club and most are the best we could attract. This is a club issue and will continue to be while we back players before effecting change. Maguire may not have been a great tactician but as Stuart said last night - "no point having strategies if your culture is no good" - love or hate him he is right.

Yeah thought the same thing, at least we may have a clearer idea who needs a broom through them. Hastings was dogshit Brooks was just Brooks he's rubbish no matter who the coach is, Luch was a disgrace Joffa and Twal in the forwards had a crack. Backs i think they were all pathetic to be honest.

Hastings is a ball playing lock. He's not a half. Brooks.needs to go. Madden as well. The whole starting forward pack apart from Offa and in the backline I'd keep Laurie though he needs a lot of work and I'd keep ken. Only for his tryscoring ability.
The rest can go work in construction.
Sadly i agree,i said after Madge got the bullet it would take 15 years to change the culture for the better and it would not happen in my lifetime.The inept board and Sheens will keep on deflecting where the problem lies and the gullible will keep on lapping it up.
I will always love and support my club but it's not easy when you have charlatans running it
