The club has all but turned off the leaks. I have the feeling there is a plan but the club is not ready to reveal it yet.

Sheens keeps coining us as a "development club"
It's a cop out for being unable to recruit anybody. Just some Rugby converts.
Where has development really got us? We lose them as soon as they show anything and we persist with duds because we went all in on the hype of the "next Joey John's"
Start developing juniors again and we just become a feeder club.

I get that Ikin is very good for the Broncs. Sheens is now in charge of footy which to me signals Pascoe and Co realise they don't have the expertise. That is a good outcome for supporters that the club is changing.

Scolari, O'Kane, Kautoga, Tumeth, Matamua, Tannous, Picken, Mansfield-Webster, Hill, Pole, Tupou and I hope Jordan Hill returns. They are all extremely talented and no doubt there are more. Our Flegg is performing well again this year. There is lots to look forward to but we need a coach to make full use of the potential.

I don’t think you understand how hard it is to make it for these kids. If two of these guys become solid pros that’s probably a good result.
Sorry it’s just reality.

Chances are even better with a new NRL coach. The last 3.5 years have been a disaster for this club. I know you support Maguire results do not lie.

Wrong. No coach wins in the NRL with crap discard players or kids.

Maguire had plenty of time and $ to assemble a squad. He didn't and obviously the WTs believe that as well.

No he didn’t. Pascoe stuffed the cap and bought duds. Nobody half good would come here. You need a mix of origin players and talented youth to win NRL games consistently.
Madge may have had bad results but at least he demanded change,thats what has been needed....what about the previous 7 years with no finals,close but no cigar with players paid big money and little input....Madge isnt the only one to put all the blame on,look at the bigger picture than just pointing out Madge....

I've provide names in one of these threads - O'Kane, Kautoga, Matamua, Tumeth, Pole, Mansfield-Webster, Tannous, Hill, Tupou, De Silva and no doubt many more.
Fair dinkum we even failed Brooks by not having a proper development plan in place. He should never of played halfback consistently in the top grade at 18years old. Look at how tough Sexton is doing it and even he had a full season of QLD cup.
Brooks went from 1 season of SG ball to playing half a season of Flegg, a quarter of the season in NSW cup to then debuting in first grade.

It mystifies me that for someone who apparently worked so hard to change "culture" and the performance of the team, the results were poor.
How quickly the anti Maguire contingent who were all about results, are now transferring blame to the squad.
The squad is a reflection of the club and its inability to attract players - even with coaches the like of Cleary and Maguire.
Unfortunately for Maguire he won't get the opportunity to work with the two most inform players to be signed to the club under any coach.
