Sad to read ...without realising it I read and engaged with Geo on this forum for a long time.
Has me thinking ... that players come and go, board members and coaches etc and what inevitably has the longest tenure is the fans.

Just became a regular on the forum, heard lots of good things about him.
Was told in private that he would have been a good friend to have here and in any case.

With Wednesday being Geoff's birthday his family has asked that everyone where orange socks in memory of Geoff. If anyone asks why you are wearing orange socks explain and ask them to make a donation to Diabetes Australia.

Geos funeral will be on Friday July 1st, his family has asked not to publicly post details but his wife has said any forum members that wish to pay their respects are more than welcome to attend

I'm a day early, due to a number of reasons, including flying to Tassie tomorrow to help dad prepare for my step-mum's funeral, so it's Geo's Pie Day today at our place.

I think we’ll have to have a Steak Diane pie competition.
I do know that some of those small country towns have great bakeries.

The Old Mill Cafe in Millthorpe they have great pies they were $10 each but worth every cent.

I haven’t posted or even been on this forum for yonks and I really don’t know why, but for some reason tonight I just felt like coming on here to see how everyone was doing. I went straight to this Geo thread first and was thinking what’s that old bugger up to now having his own thread.
Needless to say, like everyone else, I’m stunned. I’ve just been reading all the comments from the very first post that told us of the tragic news to the 16th page. The sentiments posted by everyone are wonderful and a testament to what a great person Geo was and how loved he was by all on this forum.
I have no further sentiments to add that haven’t already been expressed except to say that Geo you will no doubt be sorely missed not just by the people on this forum, but by everyone you touched in life, everywhere you went.
