Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Agreed.

Do you really think the board and CEO micro manage all day to day decision making at the Tigers ? Of course they don't. If you think that you need to go to the loony house.

It just shows how black and white the thinking on here is. The board and the CEO have to be involved. That is their job.
The CEO will be more involved, the board will have very little involvement in the club. They meet once a month unless something is urgent. One it two may stay in the loop on certain matters but they're certainly not involved on a regular basis.

The CEO should have very little involvement in most business matters. He would have catch-ups with the various department heads to monitor progress and delve deeper on any problem areas but he wouldn't be involved in making many decisions

Where I am I get 4 Council clean ups a year and you can nominate when you want to have them.

Wish Wests Tigers had the same luxury, but then we would probably end up with 4 times as much junk.

Reminds me of the good old days when you took a load of garbage to the tip and ended up coming home with someone elses garbage
Reminded me of this old song!!

Sheens isn’t an idiot and has identified our roster is putrid. We’re going through the stage where it’s every man for himself.
Do you mean the stage we've had for 22 years?
I've said it before and I'll say it again - sacking Madge was just Sheenius.
Many players commit to a plan - I realise not all were on the same page but we needed to weed them out - and the plan was commit to Madge's vision.
Were we going to win a premiership with Madge at the helm? Probably not BUT what was important was changing the mindset of the players - if injuries hadn't cruelled us over this season I believe we would have been sitting onthe cusp of the 8 and have had a lot of the squad wanting to stay.
Now we're back to square minus 1,000 - just a never-ending story of incompetence at the top; players disillusioned because they were sold a pup; and fans becoming more disillusioned.

The more I think about the coaching role, John Morris makes sense and given his previous pathways role and coach at Cronulla and current role at Souths (believe Assistant Coach) then he should be in a position to attract players from those two clubs which appears to have been one of the draw backs with Maguire.

Dolphins still have 13 or so spots to fill so WT better not waste time with Coaching appointment and then attract players for 2023.

If Brooks is not in the plans for 2023 then use some of the excess money from this season to pay him.

I would also enquire with Manly if they could take Kelma off out hands now. Not worth a top 17 spot in my opinion at WT at the expense of blooding some youths,

I am a huge Munster fan but believe he would struggle outside of the Melbourne team, Bellamy influence and Melbourne bubble. Look what happened to Curtis Scott when he left Storm and went to Raiders. Yes both player have different NRL abilities but appear similar personalities and Sydney would have lots of ways to get in trouble or off the rails. Sydney media would be tough on him as he would be seen as WT savour.

If Johny Morris is appointed coach hopefully he can bring Pele and Nikora with him!
Yeah the more I have read old articles from Morris time as Sharks coach, he was well respected by those juniors he either coached or brought into grade.

The good news for us is many of them are off contract now or next season.

OFF CONTRACT NOW: Royce Hunt, Briton Nikora, Franklin Pele.
OFF CONTRACT NEXT SEASON: Sione Katoa, William Kennedy, Ronaldo Mulitalo, Jesse Ramien, Sifa Talakai, Teig Wilton.

And yes, Morris impacted each of the above players. He recruited Pele & Hunt to Sharks and coached the others in NYC.

I would take all of those.

I hope Morris gets the role because one of his strengths is bringing the playing group together. He is well regarded by Sharks' supporters close to the club who I know.

So Brooks wont get dropped now lol
Not following through on calls like this will likely cost us Madden as well. If you aren't going to try back him now when we have no skin in the game then when will you back him...
