Luke Brooks - Mega Thread

Any Brooks supporter on this forum who has supported his starting position over the past 3 years has contributed to the myth of Brooks. He sucks and would suck in any system, yet the club won't get rid of him because they think he'll be good elsewhere. It's an absolute myth.
Ah yes, it’s the fans fault theory. Thats just laziness.

Why is this week any different to the previous 180 odd weeks that he wasn’t dropped. What are you expecting exactly? We tell you every week he’s the best available option, and that’s justified by the club sticking with him. Surely you’re burned out complaining about it every week.
They were all but going to drop him a few weeks ago then backpedalled.

Just seems so ridiculous, that the club continually loses... and doesn't think to Just try something different.

I know you'll argue that this is trying something different but .... I mean just drop the perennial loser.

It's mind bogglingly stupid.

Clearly you haven’t been following this thread today, cos that is not what I want. I want to go out and try and sign Munster, or even Moses. Those who are anti-Brooks want Hastings/AD. Please.
Blah. We can sign Wally Lewis whoever, it wouldn't be easy but dropping one single player sure as hell should be easier than this.

Brooks is like that kid that was shit at sport that the other kids felt sorry for and include him.
Few of them on here.
Take Ur helmets off lads and join the big boys🥴

Not if there aren’t better options. But don’t take your frustrations out on me or anyone else. We’re not the ones picking him. Point your finger at the club.

GNR happy to do the same thing over and over
They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result...

The club and the fans who are happy to just continually dish out the same mediocre, pathetic nonsense week in week out should be ashamed of themselves.

I see @Tiger Tragic saying he's just a supporter who wants the club to be the best it can be.... it's a shame Luke Brooks and his minions aren't of the same mindset.

Can you say you have that mindset when your solution is Hastings/AD? You even push for Madden

Do the fans pick the team or is it the coaches who get sacked if they don't win ?

I'm pretty confident it's the coaches who get sacked if they don't win. That is a pretty big incentive to pick the best available players.

This is just plain wrong. No one is happy about losing so much. No freaken one. I'm depressed about it.

I also don't blame Brooks for playing better than Hastings and Doueihi have this year. I suppose Hastings has outperformed Brooks in a couple of games as well so they are about on par.

Reality sucks. I want better players than Brooks.

The real issue is Doueihi and Hastings not performing. I don't care about excuses for this just as I don't care and have never cared about excuses for Brooks poor performances.

It’s just a fascinating mindset carrying on like it’s the supporters fault that Brooks is still in first grade. I get people are emotional, but Jesus.

Again, the “you’re not a real supporter if you think x” is another mindless argument. I’ve made the comparison before that it’s like politics and each side thinking the other is not patriotic for not carrying the same beliefs.

It's exactly like politics where people can't view the situation rationally. The arguments are just stupid.

All that matters is picking the best available players based on performance. That hasn't happened this week because Doueihi gets his chance at 6. Hopefully he proves that is his spot and he is clearly the best option at 6 for the club.

It was a shit option that didn't work out.
Anyone would think it never happened before....
Or Luke Brooks was the only half in history to do it.

I remember Benji doing it not so long ago (With 300 games behind him) on the
1st (out at Campbelltown I think)

1st tackle, We were on the attack - Inside their 20-30, Very late in the game...
We lost the game by less than a try
This is the generational player that changed the game... Club legend - And all that.

Seriously, If anyone else in the game did it - No one would have even mentioned it.
Of course it would be mentioned. It was a play and moment that literally cost us the match

It hasn't happened this week because Luke Brooks is picked at 7
