Official: Three Life Members to lead coaching succession plan

Well thats done me....I would rather donate my membership to the homeless and continue on my golf journey instead of waiting excitedly for the next WTs game...If the club has to stoop so low as to get old "BOYS CLUB LEGENDS " in to fix the joint after these guys were the ones who started the rot then all I can do is wait for one of the players to publicly say ""Benji,Robbie and Sheens cant coach""...I mean it worked for Farah to get rid of Potter and low and behold the place is in the exact place it was when Farah spoke his crap and cost us a coach and a lot of credibility...
But then again we still have the same CEO who is spared the axe because he has his head burried up so many arses he gets a pass...
Enjoy the next few years guys and gals ....I will look on and hope you can have a decent team to follow because you love league and the WTs ...
I just cant stand the garbage the joint feeds us year after year and we still dont play finals like other teams do.I mean deadset 12 years without finals, complete and utter joke...
Love you all and its nothing personal to any of you great people buy really enough is enough....cheers guys...
I can't agree with you enough.
Except I'm going fishing

I'm positive about the changes .let's face it we are on the bottom with a very poor roster and no mainline coaches wanted to touch us ,yet weeks of comments get Ciraldo, get Flanno, get Morris etc etc .Reality check
Now we've got 3 guys who passionately love the Tigers and let's move on!
What these guys need is some really good targeted recruitment to improve our roster and some enthusiastic support from the forum won't go astray !
Very well said Stevec 👍
And thank goodness we didn't get Morris 🙄 or Flanno 😏 for that matter.

I think the beauty is we will know pretty quickly whether the club’s perception is improved. A few good signings this off season and we’re (finally ) on the up. 🤞
Does this mean quality Islander kids will flock to Tiger town to play under our icon in the future

Nathan Brown when he first started
Brown is a funny one. I can't remember how far he got at the Dragons but from memory all 3 of his tenures at Dragons, Knights and Warriors have been quite unsuccessful. He seems like a nice bloke and someone who understands players and games. I wonder if he wasn't thrust into the Head Coach role if he spent more time coaching Juniors, was he more likely to succeed?

The 360 interview did it for me.

"I'm backing myself & we are backing ourselves."

That's something I've always said about myself in my professional life.

That's a winners mentality.
Love this Demps but another thing I haven't seen mentioned is that we haven't really had players that fight for every scrap - like both Robbie and Benji did. Thought Tedesco and Moses were those types, but that our jersey obviously didn't mean too much to them in the end.
So it's always good to have types like Benji and Farah around the club to help drive that passion and belief.

I feel Sheen's, Benji and Farah are more likely to sell more hats and put more bums on the seat. And in the end, isn't financial viability what it's all about?

So winning games is not important for a football club, as long as they are financially viable? This is what you're saying?

Exactly. Losing so often makes it tough for fans but we obviously still sell. So many clickbait articles.

I assume that we are profitable right now. I know we sell in the media.

Winning would be huge for this club.

I think businesses run on profit. Winning is for the tans but teams survive for years without winning if they can somehow be profitable.

You along with Jirskyr, WesTahger and Geo have usually never been too critical of the club and have stuck up for them. Says a lot really that even you are feeling this way.
Well mate,I went off a bit last night because I honestly thought that the club would take a different approach to this coaching saga..I would be all for Morris or Flanno and a couple of the assistants we have atm...We need a fresh approach, fresh faces and fresh ideas to take us forward...
Sheens got us a GF...got sacked and sued us.
Benji and Farah were the face of the club riding on good times, but as stryker has said, what real success have we had other than 2005...
There is absolutely no doubt that I love the WTs and rugby league as well as all the forum members, but I just dont want to see us where we are and staying there for the long haul if these "old boy club members"fail at this attempt just to carry the club icon flag..
I said it before and I will say it again,Farah and Benji are for themselves both have proved that over the years and think they are the wests tigers,Sheens hasnt coached at NRL level in 10 years, the game has changed...
We have had a stigma about us,that the boys club run it,and now they are back...
I wish them all the best, but in my opinion this is just another marketing ploy by the Admin to save face after sacking Madge and not having a back up ready to go...
I will keep supporting the club as I have since inception, however after 23 years you would hope we can go forward and not back....

G'day True Tiger....Your heart is in the rite place when you say you would rather donate your membership $$$ to the homeless.
I had to let my WT regional m'ship go this year unfortunately as I just cant afford it anymore.
And as we all know the homeless are increasing every day with the current rental situation.
I'm certainly not big noting myself, but I donated 3 Backpack Beds For The Homeless a few years back. I just wish I was financial enough to be able to do it again.
Check it out folks "BACKPACK BEDS FOR THE HOMELESS" on your computer.
If we reckon Our Tigers are a mess....Australia is a bigger mess....the rich are getting richer and everyone else is getting poorer....and that's a fact.
The bonus's the fat cat CEO's are paying themselves rite now is just obscene.
ScoMo has done his job of looking after the rich.
I hope Prime Minister Albo is able to do something for Australia's little people.

The only thing keeping this club going is nostalgia. And I'm here for it. They sucked me in again.

This club has incredible PR. No wonder we are one of the most supported teams in the league. It shouldn't be possible for a club that is this crap to still have so many supporters. Yet here we all are.

coaches sorted-lets start recruitment now

This is ridiculous. Why would it kill the club off ? The only way we could be killed off is if the league restructures or we go broke and can't support an NRL team.

The dramatics on here at times are so over the top.
Lol hypocrite much?
