Tanking? Bloke is playing at the same standard he's always been. Utter rubbish

Within every game halves make mistakes, it’s part of footy.
The difference is, you all blame brooks and highlight every bad highlight.
The guy puts in 100% every week, yes he makes mistakes, but it’s a team sport, the teams issues are bigger than just one player, and the annoying thing is.. you all know the issues the club has had, but ignore that when you want to bash brooks.
I Literally remember someone on this forum ripping on brooks while the dude was injured and nothing but a spectator on the sideline, yet, somehow that loss was still on brooks.
He may not be the answer but for FS, he ain’t the only problem, the problem is much much deeper.
And before someone says “He is PART of the problem and not part of the solution’ understand that a half back can generally only be as good as those around him.

Cant agree more Chaos. Were the rest of these guys watching the same game yesterday? I thought the Hastings at 13 (practically played at 7) worked well because it allowed us to have 2 running 5/8s. Although we didnt win yesterday , I think it is worth persisting with. As regards Brooks, its very easy to focus on the negative & not the positive. For example,he put a pretty well placed bomb & both Tupuo & Kepoa just let Stains catch it unopposed. Had they of contested & scored suddenly we would be talking about Brooks return to form. He cant do it alone. If he does leave the club & is surrounded by those effort players, he will kill it. And then we will have the same negative people move on to bag the next playmaker we have . Also any one who says that was a reserve grade side yesterday is kidding themselves. While clearly not their best side, there is that much talent in Penrith & they have been well coached by Ciraldo (not Cleary) , that side would make the 8 in this comp.
That is the blueprint for the Tigs & we have the junior base to do it.

I agree with you and well written. Hastings at 13 worked well yesterday.

Yes, regardless of how well Brooks plays "the clique" always want to take him down.

I’d be the first the praise him when he does something great, this whole team has issues…. But the spotlight shines on Brooks he’s our 7 and on marquee money, I just want to see us play good footy and get some wins, don’t you think we should asking more of him ? And everyone else on our team ? I don’t want to take the guy down and I’m sure a lot on here don’t either, I just call it how I see it when specifically talking about Brooks.

The comments from some "disgruntled fans" shared no resemblance with what occurred yesterday during the game. A number of members on this forum have commented upon it.
 
Its been years not a few bad games and week after week little or no repeat sets earned ,little or no heads up play spot the gap take the line on plays
Nothing instinctive. We've got AD and Hastings both playing well enough as a 6 &7 . He did put up a couple of bombs early and absolutely no excuse that kepoa and tupou didn't even contest them but overall its another fail
Look 3 into 2 won't go .Have the Kahunas to move on

I get that you like him....
What I don't get... is why?

The paperwork speaks for its self.
He crumbles under pressure and has never been able to lead the team.
Outclassed and out of his depth, every game.

The "he's the best we've got" argument won't even work any more since Jacko has arrived.... yeah, he's slow but he's more of a halfback than Brooks will ever be.

Sheens wants him, read his interview with Rothfield. Benji rates him and wants to mentor him. End of story. You need to embrace reality,

Where is that other member I felt sorry for who seems a reasonable type but went off on a bit of a tangent about the Hull nonsense. That is just typical of the "desperate to believe at all costs" mantra in "the clique".
