Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The Dragons are on the verge of doing the deal that will land them a new hooker for season 2023. We have been told Jacob Liddle has agreed to join the Red V next year should he be able to negotiate his release from Wests Tigers.

Liddle is contracted next year but is likely to be given permission to leave given the club will welcome Panthers ace Api Koroisau. (DT)

Hopefully their mail is as good as when they said Mitchell was a done deal. View attachment 1971

How stupid to provide or post information like this. The job post career is something that can be construed as rorting the cap.

They've probably made it up though. Throw enough darts and eventually you get lucky.

I hope it's not true. He is a complete and utter moron.

If that mail is correct, and we sign Woods with a promise of post career job, you can finally put the nail in the coffin for 2022 being the lowest year in the clubs history. It's one thing to believe he could add something on the field (something I don't think he can), but to reward a former captain that walked out with a career after football is downright insulting to fans.
100% agree - the post career job is a kick in the guts.....i see no reason why he would deserve anything post career at the Tigers.

Great news ... Nearly as good as a signing .

we seem to be losing players left , right and centre and not getting anyone.. We might scrap the 30 man roster for next year and go with 18 and hope we go injury free.

I look at Teddy and think "if only".
I look at Moses and think "where that toilet roll gone".
I look at Woods and I feel fine.
He really has not done one thing to show he’s been a loss. He’s lost his Origin jumper, his Australian jumper, and now can barely hold a first grade spot. I’ve told this story before but it’s one of my favourites. When he had just signed with the Dogs, we played them literally the next week. After the game he shook Aidan Tolman’s hand and said “you’re wearing my jumper”. So the next year, Woods arrives and only lasts half a season and is moved on. Tolman outlasts him. Then a couple years later, they both find themselves at the Sharks. Woods gets tapped on the shoulder, and again Tolman outlasts him.
