Well let’s go to court and get the Judge to decide stuff themWests Tigers will be forced to rely on legal action if they are to have their loss to North Queensland overturned.
Tigers chair Lee Hagipantelis and chief executive Justin Pascoe were given an audience with ARL Commission chair Peter V’landys and NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo at Rugby League Central on Wednesday, where they were told that mistakes were made but given no indication the result would be reversed.
The Tigers were beaten in the final second of the game against the Cowboys a fortnight ago when North Queensland were awarded a penalty following a successful captain’s challenge by the home side.
“It went very well,” Hagipantelis said. “Peter was very gracious in recognising that our concerns were legitimate. They have acknowledged there is some ambiguity in the rules surrounding the captain’s challenge, particularly at that point in the match.
“They proffered an explanation which they believe justifies what occurred. They acknowledged that our interpretation as well was open to us to come to our own conclusion.
“They will review the rules at the end of the year in consultation with us and other clubs to ensure there is some clarity around the captain’s challenge at the end of the match.”
Asked whether they received any indication that the result could be overturned, Hagipantelis said: “That is not being offered. The NRL does not appear to have an appetite to overturn the result.
“We have taken that on board and we all take it back to the full board to determine the next step. The only avenue available would be to pursue it legally. We will take that back to the board and the board will resolve whether to take the matter any further.” (DT)

Arthur Moses?!You are correct .
He’s actually given the case brief to Arthur Moses , Senior Counsel, and Gladys Bs boyfriend, for review and recommendation ie if we do go to court, what are our chances.
Assume Lee doesn’t want any conflict of interest between NRL and Tigers via Brydens.
That makes sense.
Now whether they proceed is a whole other matter. Hopefully Moses is only charging us
“ mates rates” coz those legal bills can add up fast ! Especially for a SC !
Arthur is a Parramatta supporter. There were frequent pics of him wearing a Parra beanie whilst being photographed with Gladys.Arthur Moses?!
Jesus Christ! Half way through the proceedings he'll have a tantrum because he's not getting everything his way and sabotage the WT case until they are forced to let him go to another client!
Those comments tell me that the NRL have admitted their error and have stated they are going to make changes to clean up the process (should be captains challenge scrapped, bunker only for scoring and foul play resulting in a sin bin or send off).
I’d say we have been offered something that they are willing to take as a settlement (hopefully not just cash).
Was more a reference to another Moses' history with the tigers. 😊Arthur is a Parramatta supporter. There were frequent pics of him wearing a Parra beanie whilst being photographed with Gladys.
He would be happy to see the two points taken off the Cowboys, given where Parramatta as positioned
