I'm not sure. Burton has a lot of good attributes, but I have never seen him throw a great ball to put his outside man away, either short it long. I'm not sure he has that ball playing creativity of top line 5/8's.
Good story bar the last sentence. I’m a rum man. It’s a very pleasant experience discussing Saigon as well.
@stryker 69 in the corner of a smokey bar, waiting for Miss Ho Chi Minh to arrive.
His job is to seduce her and gather intelligence on Chinese weapons purportedly being shipped to the Solomons.
A male Honey trap.
Our way of life depends on his best pick up line.
He’s rejected the training for his own model, he’s going to casually sidle up to her and ask
“ Hi, I’m Stryker, you look like you need to buy me a drink.”
Stricken by his audacity, she buys him a bourbon and Coke.
Good summary something constructiveThese are the players that I think may be possibilities and why:
Klemmer: Knights look to be moving him on, due to his $$$ at a guess. Still has a few years left in him, I think. Would even take a low $$ Woods back, if that's what it took. One starter and one bench/back-up FRF.
Frizzel: Talk of him swapping for Brooks. Not sure where that came from, but if this was fantasy draft I would do that trade. Getting older, but would do the job for a year or two.
Best: When he's not injured, which is a lot of the time unfortunately, he is a beast. May have the shits from getting dropped to reserves while the Koala gets off scot free. Why not enquire with his manager?
Fafita: Titans have too many $$$ tied up in the forwards. We have space. He is easily in the top 5 of 2RF. Would they release him if we offered to pay his full freight?
Thompson: Would need to be heavily subsidised. 50/50 Tigers/Dogs for his contract, they free up some coin, which they need and we get him at slight unders. He is not worth his current contract, but this may work for both teams?
Tapine: More wishful thinking than anything, but if we signed up for when he was available, maybe an early release could be negotiated? Again, very unlikely, but we can only dream.
Nania: Only signed for 1 year, so free to talk again in November. Is already a star.
Dylan Brown: You would think that he grew up idolising Benji? Maybe a move across to be mentored by your hero would hold appeal? Is a great player. Not sure what $$$ his next contract would be, but surely Parra need their cap to add new forwards and may have to make some hard decisions?
