Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Sick of the talk from WT, we were told 6 years ago we’d be a destination club. Time for some actions.
What would you change Baggers that we haven't already done recently? Obvious one would be recruiting but we don't know exactly if this has been addressed.

Looking at that Melbourne pack tonight, we need big aggressive forwards. We are so far off it is not funny. I hope Papali’i’s manager is saying his client won’t play until Wests Tigers sign 3-4 more first grade forwards. It will kill his career! If we are sitting back waiting for them to become available we are kidding ourselves. Scour the planet for some big angry machines.

Where do these big animals reside mate. Lodge maybe.
Surely the roosters couldn't pay him much after his cameo finishes.

As a papua new guinean and Wests Tigers fan, I hope we give Nixon Putt a shot. Similarly to Olam, Putt may not be the biggest forward in terms of size but he's a solid worker, punches way above his weight(manhandled Kikau and Kamika of Fiji) and is a 80 minute player week in, week out.

Good post.
👍

Worth checking out for suew.
PNG lads put in work 👏

I would consider the following 5/8s (in the order)
Luai
Keary
D Brown

Dearden
Luai, he's a pest.
Keary, seems very close to a medical retirement from head knocks.
D Brown, good 6 but needs a better 7 playing aside him you'd think.
Dearden, handy player - gone from strength to strength and can only see him getting better.

I gotta feeling our 5/8 is already sorted for the next few years.

Tedesco is the highest paid there (it’s not close) - and he’s only on 1.1 - 1.2
It’s not that much different, but old mate at 1.3 is having a lend… or working for fox!!
Souths offered Keary $800,000 and he went to the Roosters for more. At the time, Mitchell Pearce was their highest paid player. They also had Jayden Nikorima on about $500k. They then got Cronk for a reported $1m. There's at least $3m just in halves before they punted Pearce, although Cronk was signed before Pearce left so he still counted against the salary cap and the NRL approved the Cronk signing. They were also paying for Cordner, Friend, Teddy and JWH. I'll be generous and say that's another 2.5m. So over half the cap on 8 players leaves 4.5 m to share between the other 22, which averages out to about 200k each. That's for blokes like Aubusson, Furguson, Latrell, Kenny-Dowell etc. They've always been cheats.

If it was a five year plan at Penrith , with such a set up , juniors and the right people in the right roles.
It will be a 15 year rebuild plan after Gus gets a payout. Doggies
