Live Game Discussion, VS Roosters - Round 23 *Spoilers*

I said in another thread Naden, To'a and Kepaoa are better centres than him. I think his best position is as a ball playing edge backrower but he can't tackle.

I think we have to go back to 13 Hastings and Brooks and AD running off him but that won't last more than a year or two. We need to get rid of our current spine.
Bingo

Not sure about To'a being a better centre than him - but I definitely agree AD is better off in the backrow. Edge or lock.

Too bad he can't defend, or isn't brave enough to put his body into tackles.

WTs official. Facebook had a post asking :who was your best player tonite'.... Every comment ridiculing and criticising the club for having the hide to ask that question.
Post has been removed.

The incompetence in this joint never ceases to amaze me
Hopefully the idiot responsible is first in line for this year's clean-out, although knowing how WT's Admin. operates they will most likely get promoted.

There’s one thing we should all remember. We are all here feeling the same way. We’re all going through this misery together. We are not alone. As much as we are ashamed and disgusted, there are some players who do care and are hurting too. I just hope this is some kind of turning point. Please football gods, let it end 🙏
I'm not exactly ashamed or embarrassed of the team, more myself.
We all know they're not that great and have been depleted by injuries. Was never really expecting the current wooden spooners to compete against a heavyweight team and can 💯 admit our issues - with our poor depth and recruitment - lies with the club's administrators.
I worry that we're going nowhere because too much emphasis is being placed on the halves, when our forward pack and outside backs aren't up to scratch either. Feel we need to address this by bringing in a couple of experienced forwards and at least one strike centre. But I believe we have found our team leaders in Hastings and Joffa.
Hopefully the decision with halves will take care of itself when our injured players return and our new recruits are here (especially with Korisau joining to add to our spine).

Know there's nothing to smile about but if there's anything positive that has come from this year it's that we're making some headway with our local juniors and finally have state of the art training facilities. Otherwise I agree it's yet another year of failure for us.
Hope Hastings is our main focus for now tbh.

I don't think Wayne would be interested.
Already worked with him and wasn't fussed with keeping him.

Let him go back when he had a good attitude…. Wouldn’t go near him now.
The media is trying to convince anyone AD would be a marquee signing….

I don't think its so much the clubs fault - admittedly we continually shoot ourselves in the foot but realistically most fans can see that the the NRL is not an even playing field - some clubs can continually field international sides and stay under the salary caps while other clubs are lucky to field A grade pub sides for the same money. The problem is the NRL is raking in the cash as an entertainment industry so i can't see much changeing in the near future.
Successful club have major TPA's for their players. Who would want to sponsor this garbage!

Did anyone notice just before the press conference, a Weststigers representative, probably from media, warning JT about media protocols. JT spoke very well, containing what he really thought. GO WESTSTIGERS!

Bet he regrets signing with us
I don't think he does. He dresses all of his kids in the Tigers uniform, all the time. He has pride for this team & he is instilling that passion with his family. I genuinely believe he wants to see success at this club, but he can't do it on his own as an aging front rower. Honestly, even when played Origin or for the national team, I thought he was overrated. But maybe he brings more to team that us observers don't see. What I do see is someone who doesn't back down, even when times are tough.

Well, what an embarrassing scoreline to wake up to.

In saying that, what has gone on this round? 6 games, 5 of them complete blowouts.
