From yesterday’s 17, only Laurie, Naden, To’a, Kepaoa, Doueihi, Musgrove, Pole with NRL contracts at club next year.
Both Liddle and Simpkin contracted but (reportedly) given permission to explore options.

So season 2023 looks like the biggest broom ever through the squad.

Eh I'm at the stage where I don't really care to be honest. In 3 years time we will be back to the drawing board again judging on our past.

First thing needs to be done is the hierarchy needs to be at the game this weekend and take the flak as well.

They love getting photos of the COE but when we're getting smashed they are no where to be seen.

I wasn't aware Simpkin was told to explore options.

It was Tuki Simpkins, not Jake.

The only players I can see we have that are genuine first graders are Douihei, Brooks, Hastings, Ofahengaue, Twal, Utoikamanu, Maumalo, Nofoaluma, Pole, Naden, Laurie.
That’s 13 with Api and Papalli. We are really short even when at full strength not winning games with this squad.

We need 4 starters added to this team and tbh if we are being fair dinkum you would need 4 origin players to make much difference.

I made almost identical post with same list of genuine 1st graders only I clean forgot about Steph and also listed Madden and concluded we need 5 genuine class 1st grade recruits
Sorry Freebairn ,Dias, Puaga, Kepoa not 1st graders ( notice how easy opposition stand and offload when we tackle)
But think NuBrown is a good footballer

I rate Laurie and Utoikamanu they are still rookies. God help the rest of the juniors if we cast them off that quickly. Clearly they are not the finished product. Nofa is a solid winger we will agree to disagree.

Nofa is a solid Gun winger and yes a Gun winger....

in Attack only.

Nofa is great at crossing the line and is up there with great Tigers wingers (but not at the Koroibete or Tamala Tukali level...). Nofa has never been able to defend and I don't know how we manage that. In fairness our entire backline pairing is stuffed and I actually see Noddy fixing this. Seriously how much has our side lifted under Noddy.

I hope Noddy stays on as an assistant coach, look he has his flaws but he is getting something out of our team. Yes we lost 74-6 against Easts, we came damn close vs 3 sides and won against Brisbane. We would have been 2 tries down by now if Madge coached us still.
