Hastings has been a revelation at 13. I expect to see other teams copy/employ an organising ball playing 13.
its the Penrith model with Yeo. Good contrast to the power forwards game

I like your positivity re Jacko and the incoming cattle but I'm still not convinced Sheens and Benji are the right people. That said, I do hope they prove me wrong.
I also think we need some higher grade recruitments - the young kids will learn but they need good role models - something we have tried to recruit before but always with no success.

This is a big difference compared to Yeo or Murray or Radley. Hastings also has a much better kicking game than those 3 players.
Hasings is much more a halfback compared to those players.
You got to talk about the downside though. He doesn't have the power game or defense those players have.
The bonus from Hastings at 13 is that it allows our halves in Brooks and Doueihi who have flaws in their game to play to their strengths which is their running games.
Hastings is the centrepiece of the team. I'm not sold on this just yet because Hastings can play the same game at 7 and you could get rid of one of our overpaid and under performing halves or just move Doueihi to centre.
I suppose a lot comes down to Brooks taking a pay cut for an extension and Doueihi accepting a fair salary for another couple of years. If these guys don't play ball you just let them go.
We really need to attack a lot better and a lot more. I liked Sheens stating that a good attack is a form of defense.
