Absolutely. But the question is why have they been able to put that roster together.Hardly says it all. They have probably the games best forward injury free after a couple of injury effected years. Theyve brought through 3 of the best young forwards in the game, one of which is a generational talent, in Nanai, Gilbert and Neame. A 4th in Cotter has always shown glimpses of his ability but struggled to remain healthy before this year and is now more suited to the game than ever. With the young talent coming through the likes of MacLean and Hess are able to thrive given they have others to share the work load.
Finally they recruited a very good centre in Hiku to sure up one edge and have a star back in Holmes doing a job the job on the other.
No doubt hard work played a vital role, but the talent of their roster can not be ignored.
Cant disagree with anything you say .However one more year of big losses with the odd win is very bleak . Its not like we've been floundering for a few years . I know about all the good ones are signed till end 2023 and we can try land some for 2024 starting Nov . I'm justing hoping we could spot a few budding stars who are not in Nrl yet but will give us that bit of extra class to make next year bearable and without changing the political hotbed image the 2024/5 Stars still won't come. The centers that were extended are not up to it imoWe are not recruiting for 2023, we are recruiting for setting Benji up with a very competitive squad.
There is no quality options for next year on the market atm. Everyone who is available become so for 24 at this stage.
If anyone thinks we will sign 3 forwards and 2 centres at a NRL quality level in the next few months for 23 then they have no idea. It won't be happening. It's why we just extended our backs for a year.
Moses has been back to Leichhardt Oval several times with mates too watch out juniors. Obviously he still has mates and friends of mates at the club. Can't see him leaving Parra though
Brooks looks exactly the same as he does today you think players for the tigers would have aged him 20 years haha

WT supporters aged 20 years just this season aloneBrooks looks exactly the same as he does today you think players for the tigers would have aged him 20 years haha
It's been raised before but good for a rehash rugba.Might no be the correct thread to post to , but I see on wwwos website another article/podcast with Joey John’s trying to get Luke brooks to Newcastle .
The protracted and public attempts by that club to get brooks to break his contract is disgusting and I cannot believe tigers have not asked the nrl to dock Newcastle points for next season.
Nrl must put in a rule anyone employed by media cannot be involved with clubs. John’s using his mouth piece to lure brooks to break contract
Parra had the same run with the talent back in the '80's, Kenny, Grothe, Ella, etc and added a couple of country boys in Stirlo and Cronin. That happened 40 years ago. Newcastle had a good run for a while about 20 years ago. Penrith's and Cow's turn now. Nothing lasts for ever.Absolutely. But the question is why have they been able to put that roster together.
Why are they more fortunate with their junior talent, senior recruits?
Where is the Tigers generational talent?
Where are the senior players pushing the young squad to be better.
Why are the tigers lacking in these areas
Because poor old Luke, it's never his fault, fair dinkum, those crap forwards made him kick out on the full, kick dead repeatedly, and made him take the wrong option almost at will, those forwards caused his poor game management too I suspectGavet - journeyman who played 12 games for us 😂
Tapau has flipper hands
Brooks got rookie of the year anyway.
Dumb argument that one.
He’s always had shit forward packs.
Ben sought a release to Penrith after his best mate Mosese Fotuaika's tragic suicide.I recall him being fairly injury prone to start his career - maybe that’s why we released him
Seen him play for Tonga a couple years back and he was a handful.
I think the side has a culture of lacking in confidence and aggression or positive traits right across the side.Because poor old Luke, it's never his fault, fair dinkum, those crap forwards made him kick out on the full, kick dead repeatedly, and made him take the wrong option almost at will, those forwards caused his poor game management too I suspect
Scum that scarecrow pr#ckBen sought a release to Penrith after his best mate Mosese Fotuaika's tragic suicide.
Also JT didn't rate him - he preferred Kyle Lovett etc...
(JT didn't rate many Polynesian forwards after Fa'ologo punched his teeth out his coit at Souths Mad Monday.)
Love how they took the pic to make him seem bigger🤣

I doubt that very muchIt's been raised before but good for a rehash rugba.
It was mentioned that Phil Gould should not have an opinion on 100%footy and be connected to other clubs....now with the dogs. He was the one advocating we were crazy offering Cameron Ciraldo 5 years and big money...look what the dogs have gone and done.
You can throw in Munsters manager hosting NRL 360 and there are others. Braith told Kent that Munster had no chance of coming to the tigers.
You are correct.I doubt that very much
