Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I also found it interesting that sheens said while he was back in England he has planned to talk to some people etc.. Could be NRL players over there for World Cup or England players. Fingers crossed.

I also do like the sound of what sheen was saying about how the team plays and they plan on been all about attack so might be fun to watch.

29 spots filled. Only 1 more player to go in top 30.
A lot of us get 27 with Tommy Talau & Henry O'Kane off-contract and nothing formally announced on those 2 yet.

Plus the Club won't come out in these videos and say that there may be some released if they can be taken elsewhere (i.e. Peachey, Musgrove, Simpkin, Simpkins, Gildart etc).

So really we could have plenty of incomings yet!

Hope there might be a teensy weensy bit of defence in there as well otherwise scoreboard attendants could have trouble with 53-49, or the like, scores in our games.
Could make betting easier, overs every week.
I have also been on this earth long enough to know when someone says they plan around all attack that it’s wise to look at the flip side.

Rival clubs are now queuing at the south side of the Spit Bridge as word begins to spread around town that the brothers may have finally had enough. That their loyalty to the club has diminished to the point where only the commitment to their teammates is keeping the pair from trying to escape.

Break the Bank, The three Trbojevic brothers would change the Tigers for ever.

Way too much WT hype and PR around these poor kids.
Yes I think discussion about the plan, without direct exposure of the Super 6, might have been a better option for the entire group.
Or maybe, being a tad cynical, they are preparing them for NRL where in most teams there are a sort of Super 6 and the rest of the squad can sometimes get overlooked.

One barely plays - And the other can barely play....
And what about the 3rd one?

What the hell would we do with Jurbo?
Manly are paying him 800 odd - L:et them deal with it.
Yea i aree - Turbo has played 44 games in 4 seasons - hardly worth the $1mil plus Manly are paying him. Jake is cooked - 2022 he was down markedly on stats in both attack and defence and i can only see him going backwards from there. Jurbo - probably the best option of 3 - only 21- mainly comes off the bench. He has the pedigree so could kick on and wouldn't cost a fortune plus is off contract end of 2023.

Benji has the pathways plan with some classy 16 and 17 year olds being developed great buts whats the guarantee that when the time comes 2 or 3 years from now they won't go to whoever bids the most ?
Just reading today Canberra have raided the Dragons juniors and just signed
5 of them !!!

The Raiders tried to sign our young hooker from the Wests HM team but our club re-signed him.

Tommy Talau was a reasonable center before he got injured so would like to keep as we are very light on good centers . Unless he's no longer fit enough for NRL ?

Well thought it was telling Sheens specifically mentioned Talau in the same breath as Blore so im guessing he is likely to be kept on. Probably a decent move by both club and player especially if its a 1 yr deal or something like that. Talau gets to prove himself and also the club for looking after him after a horror injury.
