Damn right. I don't have the exact answer but contracts & announcements should be done in 1 or 2 small windows through the season so it becomes a big fan experience.

The AFL absolutely ream the NRL in this regard!

Brooks has done the right thing by the club in letting them know he is intending to sign with Newcastle a couple of weeks prior to November 1st.

Happy enough if he and the club come to an agreement prior, but the most important thing is it is opening up opportunities for the club to plan in the coming fortnight if separating.

Whether Sheens or anyone else is overseas or not, isn't really relevant in this day and age.
