Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I'm happy we have picked up Staines, let's face it we have 3 recruits coming from this year's GF, we could be dragons supporters, Liddell and Musgrave, we are on the right track finally
That's a great point - can't remember the last wooden spooners ever to pick up 3 players from the previous grand final.
We are the "destination club model" for last placed teams.

Especially if that player is a guy who can do something all by himself. Chuck him the ball and go and score. I reckon there is next to no chance of it happening but maybe he leaves the Titans and he'd be awesome for us.

I don't reckon many players in the game can do the stuff he can do.

I get that he is inconsistent but a player like that in top form is going to win you games.
Closest thing to Dave Taylor for mine

A very different style where our players are encouraged not to look like robots and players who touch the ball the most are encouraged to back their instincts. Sheens has also made reference to outscoring our opposition. Hastings at 13 best serves the team in that position. The rumours around Laurie training at 5/8 is further evidence the club is not convinced with the current pace/ball playing and defence in that position.
Yeap you could be right.
1~ Stains
6~ Laurie
7~ Hastings
9~ Api
13~ Douiehi.

Don't rate Staines at all, but good to get rid if Peachy.

And good its just a 1 year contract. Gives us a safety net if he goes terribly.
Get him in the Gym and he could be our version of CNH for the 2019 raiders.

I liked a lot of what I saw when he played Fullback in First Grade and NSW Cup.

They can’t register his contract due to salary cap issues atm, they have ordered a new larger sombrero.
ANGUS CRICHTON

Word is Crichton has a handshake deal with the Roosters and the club are just freeing up the cap space to officially register his two-year extension with the NRL.

The former Australian Schoolboys rugby star has previously admitted his desire to play for the Wallabies at the 2023 World Cup. But that dream looks dead and buried with Crichton currently on his first Kangaroos tour at the Rugby League World Cup in England.

The 26-year-old told foxsports.com.au in March that he was “really close to signing” but no announcement came, which saw the Wests Tigers show interest.

However, Crichton declared late in the season that he’ll be staying put in Bondi, emphasising he was “not at all” tempted to leave the Roosters.

The bustling backrower has played 142 NRL games after debuting at Souths in 2016 and joining the Roosters, while also representing NSW 11 times.

Fact = Sheens views Hastings as a 13.
All that has changed = Hastings is far too slow.
You do realise he was playing on an injured foot for nearly the entire year before he got badly injured?
Sheens doesn’t view Hastings as a 13 because he sees Brooks as a 7.
The reason is that Brooks is useless at organising anything and Jackson can do that for him when he’s out there.

Don’t tell Paws, but he doesn’t believe a HB needs to organise. Thinks the forwards must do it..

Bro, it's not his fault... he has football anxiety.

Some of these guys just don't get it...
There's been no accountability FOR YEARS.
