Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Agree to disagree, his defence is such a big issue that he can only play for the Magpies from the bench or overseas for South Pole Sea Lions.
We simply have to say the end to mediocracy, so:
- No to Nofoaluma but Yes to Koroibete, Tupou, To'o;
- No to Twal, Seyfarth, Mikaele and Yes to J W-H, Josh Papalii, Saifiti;
- No to L Leilua, Garner and Yes to A Murray, A Crichton, Yeo
- No to Gildart and Yes to Manu

and the biggest NO to our Administration, and their SJWs that look only how to put the new restrictions on us and Yes to people like Politis, Crowe et al that don't take "we can't", "it is impossible" for the answer!
Poor Twal 🙁

But what do we do when all those you say yes to say no to us?
I don't see how this type of attitude helps. Yes it's fair to say we won't reward mediocrity but it is in no way realistic to completely overhaul the roster with star players.

How'd that turn into an SJW rant? 😂

So we just go out and buy all those players?

No one say we can buy all quality players I mentioned now, however, it has to start with a decision that we will not be happy with mediocracy and change the Administration to can do people.
E.g. we shall get out of "we must buy Klemmer" mediocre thinking, we shall exploit our barging power and insist on Ponga - Brooks, or Saifiti - Brooks swap.
We done it before (under Sheens), and completely reinvented the club!

I do like your positive comments re can do.
We need some hard heads at the negotiating table who are ruthless in pursuit of the best that are available, within our budget framework.

An absolute pest to the refs. A real competitor. Tough and had some skills. The type that gets white line fever as he crossed the stripe. But a nice bloke off the field, or he was to me anyway.
I think he liked donuts.
Yes, Dogs had a few, Gillespie, Tunks, Lamb etc. take no prisoners but come back to
normal in time for the first schooner at the club.
But they did have talent.

Within reason I agree. It's like last season when everyone was in a tizzy about re-signing Stef and signing Finucane.

Same as getting worked up about re-signing Hastings and Doueihi.

You can let deals go if they aren't good deals.

I think we need Klemmer especially since we released Musgrove and I can't see us getting Safiti or Ponga.

I suppose I'm stating there is a middle ground.

**** Coming from the no 1 fence sitter on the forum.

I think you’re right !
think Sheens still rates AD as a player but maybe at centre and not 6 therefore potentially a lesser deal in 2024. Surely if AD was the answer at 6 wouldn't Sheens be rushing to lock down AD.
who knows it could play out we lose Hastings AD and Brooks in 2024 you never know

I was at this game as all my friends were St George wankers.🤣

Stats: Peter Langmack

Debuted at Parramatta in 1971 before heading further west to Penrith in 1973.

Langmack would play 13 matches in his first season at the Panthers, crossing for one try.

He would start in all 22 matches in 1974 at lock. In the match against St. George at Penrith Park, he crossed for 5 tries, which to this day remains a club record.

He would play two more seasons at the Panthers before leaving at the end of the 1976 season, where he would return to the Eels. He retired at the end of the 1978 season.

He was the older brother of Paul who played over 300 first grade matches at Canterbury, Western Suburbs and the Roosters, and his sister Diane is currently employed as the public relations manager at the Panthers.

Mate, the majority of us on here are running around like headless chooks trying to pre empt what might happen.
Can we jump forward to after the WC and see what eventuated ?

Be interesting to see if @THE_POM has any tidbits for us today, seems like theres a fair bit happening behind the scenes. I guess it might only be possible to confirm Peach/Staines swap seeing though it apparently imminent.
