Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Well, it was reported Benji reached out to Moses... but then Benji denied doing this.

Moses has a history at the Tigers and has upset a few fans along the way.

He's become a much better player and hopefully a much better person.
Moses and AD halves pairing. Lock it in, Timmy.

I see the Klemmer thing is not on at least for 2023 . I'm not surprised yet I still. read lots of fantasy recruitment Moses , Dylan Brown and even Burton let's face it recruitment is hard and yet few want to admit it and soul-search why ?
On Oct 18 I expressed some views on this but no one challenged and I would love someone to debate me
So I'm clear Wests Tigers have an NRL side and a Jersey Flegg side
Western Suburbs Magpies have a NSW cup side and a SG Ball and Harold Mathews side and Balmain has a SG Ball side .
We are just not where top nrl stars want to go and its not to do with the spoon
just look at the dogs . I feel ONE club One name gives our profile more power
If someone disagrees and feel that Cup ,Ball and Matt's sides should be called magpies tell me why and how it helps
The JV was taking the Wests from one club and the Tigers from the other and when mixed together a club called Wests Tigers is born and that is the club I support
I agree with you.
Wests Tigers all the way through.
We need to distance ourselves from the putrid stench that is Balmain and Western Suburbs football clubs.

That is a massive upgrade for us and I reckon Nofo and Ken both offer a lot. I can't see it happening. I also don't know why we'd be shopping Ken. Sure he is slow and he does get caught out sometimes. He also scores tries via kicks and his extender arms. Plus he regularly gets big metres for us and busts the line.
He occupies a roster spot.

You are correct right now but I hope the club does a deal. I don't see the upside for us of retaining him for one more season.

Just to add we now probably win the comp next year of the back of Brooks killing it.
Crying tears of blood.
that it will be the tenth year i'm heading into.

And im still begging for brooks to be gone, so we might be able to have a winning team.

Manly have tabled flyer Reuben Garrick a bumper four-year deal which comes with a surprise positional switch.

The Sea Eagles will also flatly reject any bid for Garrick to be released early from his deal to join Newcastle next year.

The Sea Eagles have shown their intent in trying to make Garrick a key part of their long-term future as they try and starve off an approach from the Knights.

In doing so they will shift Garrick from wing to centre next season.

It is understood the Sea Eagles tabled the four year deal last week.

Manly boss Tony Mestrov confirmed Garrick was a priority re-signing.

“We’ve offered him a strong four year deal which would match any offer the Knights give him,” Mestrov said. “He wants to play fullback and obviously with Tom at Manly he can’t do that.

“However our offer is with the intention of playing Garrick at centre. He will play in the centres. He played all his junior representative football at centre. He is also an amazing goal-kicker which adds to the need to keep him.”

When asked if the club would entertain a release Mestrov simply said: “We won’t be releasing him”. (DT)

At the current time the club needs to ask ourselves what we need more. A powerful forward pack of halves. I think we need to bring in the best forwards we can for where the team is at atm. If that means a swap for Brooks so be it, he prob won't re-sign anyway. We are in desperate need of forwards who can dominate the opposition, even if we play an expansive attacking game next year, we will get nowhere if our pack can't match more than 30 metres up field, our backs will be playing without any time or space. We have Hastings and Douhi, iv no idea if they are the answer, imo they're too slow in the legs but they can keep things rolling along for a season while we go hard on the market in 24 for a permanent leader in our halves.

He had already signed with Melbourne by the time he debuted, in round 5 I think it was.
We wanted him to stay, he treated the club like crap.
Incorrect. Jason Taylor told him that he was a reserve grader and would only play when his baby boy Jordan Rankin was injured. JAC didn't particularly want to leave Sydney at the time but wasn't really given an opportunity.

Taylor is probably the worst thing that ever happened to the club

Well your post, as poorly written as it may be, raises questions.
1. How did Luke get to be on a mill for season 2023?
2. Is this even the case or is it media and fan dribble?
3. Playing devils advocate, how is it remotely possible that anyone takes on his large contract (should it exist) given that he does not offer "value for money"?
1.Michael Maguire and Pascoe
2. Pretty accurate based on what you have to minimum spend of the cap and the rest of our roster
3. See answer 1

I'd take Moses back in a heart beat.

He's an out and out #7 though.

I think having a player like him in that jersey could afford us to have a different type of 13....

Some one like Elijah Taylor / Yeo.
Instead of Hastings.

Agree Moses is a no brainer if we get the chance to nab him.
Don't care what happened, he would make us instantly better.
He plays very similar to Scotty Prince style of game as well which we know works well in a Sheens attacking model.

One of the greatest mysteries of the NRL Jordan Rankin playing wing in the NRL No speed No size No athletic ability Could not beat a opposing player very average goal kicker and poor defender

Anyone who has the answer probably knows the whereabouts of the Lockness Monster

Article is a few days old and seems to speculation from the writer but let's hope the wheels are turning on an exit for Gildart as it suggests.
