Dame has a great influence, if Portland are top 4 he will be high in the MVP stakes but Simmons is also playing well in the CJ style role.

They appear to have a more balanced side atm as well over when they had Roco and Powell (who funny enough are struggling at Clippers now atm as well). Early days but so far so good.
 
This nets team I reckon has mucked Simmons up. ky and kd running the team its like he has no voice. Playing a quasi 3 or 4.

He should be allowed to play to his strengths which is bringing the ball up and dictating the pace of each play - like he did in Philly, now He just runs and sets screens now. They’ve wrecked his confidence. Ben has never been a strong half court player.

I reckon Simmons better at the 1 or 2 playing off Patty Mills. Steve Nash has screwed the rotations imo by starting claxton as starting C and royce as backup C causing the lane to be clogged up…

Need to surround Ben with shooters who open up the lane like Seth; Joe Harris etc

Ben Simmons made the right play. He had Giannis guarding him and another big on him too.

He kicked it out to an open KD who could’ve drained the 3 but got the bucked anyway. Why would he go for a dunk when he could easily be blocked or have to go the foul line? There were like 3-4 bucks players in front lol.

Not taking umbrage on you mate but the media are way too harsh on Ben
 
I reckon Simmons is hopeless. He isn't shooting the ball. He has been beaten easily defensively. At some point he looked real good but he just can't shoot and it's a sport where shooting is critically important.

I agree that Nash does not use him properly, but on the other hand I understand the MM when they question the value he delivers for for the money he is paid.
Nets have enough shooters (unlike the Lakers) to play the game that would suit BS better.
