Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

i think most on hear have no idea who we are going to get for next season , Bateman, Klemmer and co , nobody knows
where the guys will play this season coming it is also a complete unknown , Hastings Brooks , AD , I believe will all be with us in 2023 , where they play who knows , Sheens may give Brooks a few games in second grade to tune in what sheens wants him To do , first 4 rounds we may move players around like Brooks , Hastings , Smith , AD , then settle on a run on team , Players returning to training over the next couple weeks will also mean zero , we won’t know who plays where , who is coming , who is going , until January , I think Glock may be correct , Pom also has been very quiet so no news to share

So AD is too slow to play 5/8, but wait, lets put him to FB?? Please explain.🤔

AD has a big season coming up. He has to prove himself to be worth his current contract. I hope his attitude is right. I think he needs to focus on being the best player he can be in whatever position suits him rather than the position he wants to play.

Centre's... Most backs in general need speed.
I dunno where AD fits in.
I too am suck and tired of seeing the ball spread wide only for us to be covered easy and wingers hit the anchors.... It all starts in near the Ruck with no pace
Just have no confidence any shift wide will result to much..even in broken play we're covered.

Didn't AD run down a winger this season, and also run down DCE after giving him 10 metres head start last year?

If DCE was here would he be too slow to play in the halves?

FWIW, I'm yet to be convinced on AD as a 6, but it's not because I think he's too slow for it. He needs to work on defence, and getting the ball wider instead of running it so often.

The odd thing with Sheens is, he signed John Morris and later Braith Anasta to play in the halves because they ran the ball and took the line on. Seems like AD is similar in that aspect.

Only as good as your last game - And his last game was ordinary...

I thought this thread was called ‘Signing, Suggestion & Rumours’ not ‘Act like a 5th grader teasing everyone by telling them you know something important they don’t know, but don’t actually tell them anything at all’

Seriously CG 🤦🏻‍♂️🤪
Drop your rumour, guess, thought, murmur here or keep your dribble to yourself and head back on over to your other ‘more preferred’ forum.

Good morning all and have a lovely day

Obviously the bearer of the 8 weeks rumour is just trying to big note himself.

On the off chance this happens, we deserve the spoon next year.

I truly wonder what Brooks fans see when they watch him play. Or are they too busy playing with themselves out of excitement that their mute midget gets to play with the big boys and they miss most of his brain-dead plays on the field?

Hard to keep up with this thread.

But - sounds like both 'realistic' signings in Bateman and Klemmer both don't want to come here.

What a laugh.

Geez Benji will have a war chest in ‘25…
Something to consider when thinking about players currently ‘off contract’. Highly doubt any would entertain 1 year deals and anything longer would require Benji’s approval. Won’t only be Sheens making the call on the current spine.

The game is different today, faster, bigger humans, better kicking games . I just don't think it's his right position. As for running down people, I have seen many fast players run down by slower players, it depends on if they have just had a big run or had a lot of work, That impacts their speed.

I like both Hastings and AD but the fact is neither of them play with the pace required to be a consistently threatening halves combination.

I understand why Sheens is doing what he is doing. I’d love to keep AD but I think his best position would be centre.
AD at lock for me.. will help with his defence as the ruck is tighter, not as much one on one.. he's creative enough and a big body .. could strike up a good combo with API
