Joe Ofahengaue #240

Good signing. We can’t lose our first grade quality players they are few and far between.

Good re signing. So often one of our best forwards isn’t retained and goes to other club. Glad Joffa has been retained.

Good signing and one of our best this year. Hope we didn’t pay significant overs.

This is the type of player we have lowballed in the past and let leave.

I think you can learn all those attributes it’s just that some are easier to learn than others. I reckon he’d make a good all round captain.

This is really good news and I also join the chorus to make him captain in 2023.

This does send out positive news that WT despite the season from Hell can still resign their best player as it would have been easy for him to jump ship to a team like the Storm who need forwards.

Well done to all involved with this and thanks Joffa you are a champion

Ofahengaue's commitment vital to our success in 2023

Tongan international Joe Ofahengaue was a shining light for the club with strong on-field contributions later earning him player of the year honours in a tough season.

He gave the club the ultimate mark of optimism when he re-signed for a further three years just days after the Tigers finished their wooden spoon campaign with a 56-10 loss to the Raiders.

Together with Stefano Utoikamanu, who re-signed until the end of the 2025 season in January, the pair are among those who have faith in the club's future and are a pair to build the club's ever-changing forward pack around.

Stefano has slipped out of the limelight and I'm hoping that after an uninterrupted preseason he can ignite the canon and explode onto the rep scene.

CC I agree with your comments re Stef. He has the makings of a very good no 8 but can’t agree re Joffa.
Seems like a solid journeyman to me who jumped at the chance for some security when it was out to him.
Hope you are telling me i told you so in 23 but apart from being a good clubman does nothing to get me excited.
