Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Very good player... however allowing him to play some early NSW cup games to get his body ready and confidence up then slowly implement him in the team might be the best route to take especially as a starting 13
+1 Matamua is a huge talent but still has work to do physically before he is ready for FG. Pole, on the other hand, is ready now and can be a great player for us.

My take is transfer fees should not be a hindrance to signing good players. They don’t affect the cap and if there’s one thing Pascoe has done well it’s get the clubs external finances in order (booming apparently). We should be using this every way we can to help attract elite talent as attracting recruits traditionally has been a challenge over the last 10 years or so. The off field financial situation should be used to help our on field and I think fans have every right to expect as such.

Agree with your sentiment. Finding coin for transfer fees should be child’s play for a well run NRL club.

he has come out and denied it twice he can't do anymore than that
Problem is plenty of the punters believe the BS they want to believe from the media
Common sense needed...

How many times have we heard coach x or player Y say something and for the opposite to happen.

Its business.

If you don't believe Brooks has asked for an out at least once before, then I've also got some bad news for ya about Santa clause being real as well.....

8. Leota VS Klemmer
9. Kenny VS Koroisau
10. Fisher-Harris VS Ofahengaue
11. Garner VS Papali’i
12. Martin VS Blore
13. Yeo VS Bateman

14. Luke VS Ngatikaura
15. Sorensen VS Twal
16. Leniu VS Pole
17. Salmon VS Utoikamanu

Our pack, on paper.... looks like it'll match it with Penriths.
Almost match it*

I didnt say you had anything to do with Glock but it's funny how you're gone for weeks at a time but suddenly jump in after I called him out on using you to support his mail.

Im starting to wonder if you in are the same person using different ID's? Hmmmmm

While I've got your attention, your mail on Caleb Clark is wrong!
Can you just be quiet. You come out of nowhere and suddenly are the self appointed god of all rumours and the most well connected member on here.

You've barely posted on here and the fact you get into slanging matches makes you seem like a pissy little teenage boy annoyed that his mummy took his xbox off him...

Chris is Sheensy mate... 🤫

The club owes him a good team /forward pack
Yes the club owes him a good forward pack. We have had Woods + Taupau one year.

I get it, don't blame your halfback when your team can't move 20m because you get done upfront. Still Brooks is either wrong for the WT, in the wrong position (my view, I think he is better 5/8) or just wrongly set up. He needs to go and I think in Superleague he would do really well.

If he did he would have been signed November 1 by Newcastle
He is here and as Sheens said newcaslte never asked for a release

With Api and Papalii already on board, Klemmer comfirmed, Bateman a possibility and maybe even Nathan Brown at the right price, I reckon Wests Tigers might just about lay claim to the best off season recruiting result of any club, definitely one of the best. Particularly when you consider the Staines / Peachy swap. Whatever you think of Staines, he is definitely a major upgrade on Peachy and has a heap more upside. Even the Hastings / Klemmer swap. Shame to lose Hastings but he was never going to be the Messiah and the first grade team needs Klemmer more than it needs Hastings. Transactional but that is the calculus that Sheens has made. The is still some angst about the halves, but they are both only signed for 2023, so we are in a great position if we need to move on from either or both for 2024. I wouldn't extend either of them until 6 weeks into the season. Give them the opportunity to show what they can produce behind what should be a pretty good forward pack and how badly they want to be part of a Wests Tigers resurgence. The club is in a better position with regards roster than it has been for ages.
I can't see AD being extended, we have been trying for ages to buy another top half, and i don;t think he is in the plans, Sheens is a speed man, and again centres would not suit, as a forward also with current signings and young guys ready in 2024 Brooks also may get the flick if he does't show the goods, The club has at last showing it's intent, ordinary is not good enough.

'23 Prediction 1: Wests Tigers make the top 8, thus ending their long streak of no-finals
'23 Prediction 2: As per prediction 1, Luke Brookes now no longer the longest serving half without playing finals
'23 Prediction 3: Parramatta still shit, still waiting on their next title

You'd have to be worried about fielding offers as players from coaches who've been losing their job for 12 months or more....
Well that shows you how much other clubs really thought about the talent's of LB.
we could not get newcastle to give us their $800.000 man in exchange 4 our 1ml man.
But they take our cheaper half, worth 3 to 4 hundred thousand instead.

In exchange for Klemmer.
