Curious with Moses

Who do you reckon reached out first, Sheens or Moses?

I totally get why we would consider this, Sheens has Adam D asking for 800k. At that price, Moses comes into contention.

Moses too needs talk from another club to justify his pay packet and is fairly mercenary. Oddly Parra don't seem to have a strong commit to team culture. (I wonder if Matthew Watmough's departure taught their juniors something... just a business hey).

I kinda worry about all this. Were talking big dollars, and yes Moses is a decent player. No superstar though.

Oh I think it would have been quite the ear ending exercise. But Robbie has a decent track record on this type of thing.

Eels coming out and saying that they will not release Moses from his contract. Whether or not we manage to get him, I'm just enjoying the fact that the Eels are having to come out and deny player releases after all the times they've done it to us. Hate that scum club with a passion and hope we manage to pull it off. Regardless of my disdain for the tanker, I'm willing to put it aside so long as the Eels get shafted

It can't just be about money, the players need to be a bit smarter, if the sum of 1.4 for Moses is correct, which I doubt, then its all good for him to take a bigger pay day but do the players realise sometimes it's better to shave some money off your salary so the club can fit another forward or back in the squad that will increase their chances for success. It's all well and good to take 1.4 mill but not if he's stuck playing with reserve graders because our caps all out of whack trying to sign him.

I'm hearing ya. Isn't this great, having other clubs sweat and soon blokes like Buzz and Hooper will be saying they're a rock show.
One thing that has sprung into my mind.... isn't it great that we have a healthy salary cap. The next juggling act Sheens has to show Marshall and Robbie is how to retain good players without getting into trouble again.

Mate just let you know, King Robbie has started a thread in the Contracts, Recruitment & Rumours Section called" 2023 Ins and Out."
It has the squad as it stands and he'll be regularly updating the list as info comes to hand. He also responds to any questions like this one if yours.

I totally understand that Earl ...if you ever get a chance to read Tim Horan and Jason Littles autobiography and it gives you great perspective how hard it is to change clubs / codes ....Little said every day for 3 weeks he changed his mind from Crushers to Union and back again ....

Hey mate, NSW Cup squad hasn't been announced yet, so I'm not sure if he's still with us.

I personally don't think he's a future first-grader but he was a regular in the Magpies side this year, so I'm sure we'll find out soon if he's sticking around with them.
