Hard to believe that after all these years, we are genuinely now in the mix and have signed decent players.

Yeah we will definitely hold our own in the forwards IF they all stay fitHard to believe that after all these years, we are genuinely now in the mix and have signed decent players.
We are, at least, strong up front and Brooks and the other backs can no longer use a soft pack as an excuse.Hard to believe that after all these years, we are genuinely now in the mix and have signed decent players.
I agree but instilling tough defence was never Sheens' priority or forte. I guess it's the reason we have a defensive coordinator. And who is that may I ask? Farah?Yeah we will definitely hold our own in the forwards IF they all stay fit
Going to be a different feel under a Sheens coached side ...hope we aren't planning to get into scoring showdowns every week
We need this side to keep teams to sub 20 points most weeks ...and that will be crucial all season
Or Furner ...I hope Robbie is kept on field with the walkie / talkie ...the boys seemed more confident in himI agree but instilling tough defence was never Sheens' priority or forte. I guess it's the reason we have a defensive coordinator. And who is that may I ask? Farah?
Ah yes, Furner. Experienced. Could be good.Or Furner ...I hope Robbie is kept on field with the walkie / talkie ...the boys seemed more confident in him
Save Ronnie Palmer for his magic fairy dust again lol
Lots of RTS talk
Anyone worried about his past history ...didn't he leave the Roosters early to join the Warriors ...left the Warriors early to join RU ...and now would be leaving RU early to join an NRL club ...
In 05 we only conceded 40 point in four finals games under Sheens. If our pack stays fit we will ok defensivelyI agree but instilling tough defence was never Sheens' priority or forte. I guess it's the reason we have a defensive coordinator. And who is that may I ask? Farah?
Fear not, his deluded fans will find some other excuse for his lack of skills/poor on field performances (coaches/captain/fans/toothache/etc)We are, at least, strong up front and Brooks and the other backs can no longer use a soft pack as an excuse.
Only played around 210 games including Test footy ...doesn't turn 30 until JuneMy only concern with RTS is i didnt realize her was 30 you might only get 2 more marquee years out of him and he'd probably want 3 or 4 years at big bucks.
Much rather AD for ManuI get the feeling that depending on how Benji/Sheens conversations go with Doueihi upon his return to training could result in another player swap, this one with the chooks.
Keary appears on the nose and the Roosters were in the mix for AD when he signed here, I feel they would slot him straight into the 6 jersey next to S.Walker if he went there. I'm not saying we would be dumb enough to swap Keary for AD but I feel there might be something there.
For what it's worth I want to see AD in Tigers colours for 2023 at the very least.
Totally agreed. We had no bargaining power when the big 3 left and we signed Mautalino, packer and Reynolds’s for 4 year deals and look how they turned out.
I didn’t say I didn’t like Klemmer and Bateman.
Do not worry about this. Klemmer I have been told is a 3 year deal.I said I didn’t like the 4th year we gave them and asking price.
Sorry please explain...Keary appears on the nose and the Roosters were in the mix for AD when he signed here, I feel they would slot him straight into the 6 jersey next to S.Walker if he went there. Now theres a SCOOP!I posted on here before I was told medical retirement for Keary he won't see out season 23 just 1 head knock and he is gone
By my count we only have 28 officially signed in the top 30 unless I’m missing someone? Zero tackle have Will Smith and Josh Feledy as signed but neither have officially been included in too 30 as far as I’m aware. This is wrong though, we have one spot left, not two.
A few pages like Zero Tackle have gotten mixed up and not included Matamua’s upgrade to the Top 30.
So would rather throw some kid to the wolves rather than sign a seasoned 1st grader who might teach the kids how to become a 1st grader, and by the way once u take our starting pack I see only 2 other 1st grade players cop a few injuries and we could be back to last years crapI agree with all the posters before me. Plenty of depth in the Tigers engine room now. Signing Brown would be a waste of money and have the effect of blocking a young gun we are hoping to bring through. No need whatsoever. The more I think about it, if we were able to snare RTS, it would be brilliant. On the right deal of course........
I’m sure it’s been raised here before re his pottential Return. Some knowledgeable posters have said it very firmly, it will never happen. With the Chooks likely to be scrambling to hang into Sua'ali if a rumoured massive offer from Rugby arrives (and with him wanting Teddy's fullback spot anyway) might be worth a chat with Ted about having a final season or two back at his old club. Ted might relish the chance to play behind our new look pack. Certainly looks better than any he's played behind at WT before. Even at 29 he's still a match winner and likely to remain so for a good while yet! Sometimes long shots do come in!
Ummm English please .. ??Totally agreed.
Do not worry about this. Klemmer I have been told is a 3 year deal.
Bateman, what are you worried about:
Bateman leaves us to go back to Superleague as he did with Canberra 2 years into the contract... Woohoo! We get his next 2 best years and Superleague get him cheaper and closer to retirement.
Bateman rides us for last 2 years... Hey Bateman congratulations you can become a performance coach at 31 like Josh Jackson.
We needed muscle. Paps would become the next James Tamou if he had to carry our current forward pack.
What we need to ask is why does our form and grit drop. We have quality coming in, we have the center of excellence opening.... Will Robbie Farah (as Benji or Sheens won't) be able to keep the intensity up? Nathan Cayless could not and that was the worst surprise of 2022.
Look at how well the teams with a gritty coaches:
Cronulla picked up Craig Fitz, at Easts he would wressle anyone, anytime.
Cows picked up Payton who we know works the forwards hard.
Easts got Jason Ryles and Melbourne always build hard.
Contrast that too:
Brisbane who, sure have gone Okayish.
Titans who definitely don't have a gritty coaching staff.
We need grit and strong tackling. I truly worry as I thought Cayless would deliver this. Robbie we know goes hard. Harder then Cayless?
