It's those communication skills that's the reason why he's such an atrocious halfback. He lacks basic speaking skills which means our team is always rudderless when he's halfback as it's the halfbacks job to direct and game manage

"why the hate for a player" - Luke might be the nicest gnome since Dave the gnome but that has nothing to do with the absolute embarrassing filth he has dished up on the park for a decade which is the direct reason this team has never made the finals. The complete lack of a kicking game, mediocre hospital passing game and the inability to ever control or take a game by the scruff of the neck which is the absolute bog standard for an elite athlete in his position to do has been proven with a decade of the Tigers not making the finals. Your fan club has zero receipts except the mantra "this will be the year" You've been banging on with that for his whole 10 year career. When he finally retires with zero finals appearances what will be the excuses then? The next year threat is taken away from you. You're obviously happy with it but I'm not apologising for wanting my team to be a wining team, and it starts with a different number 7. Period.

The level of irony in this post is on another dimension.
 
I was really hoping Brooks would move on not because I think he is rubbish, just because I don't think he can improve at this club while ever there is this belief that its what's a around him that always needs fixing. I'm convinced he believes it, and why wouldn't he - we have fed it to him for years. It's almost like he is still treated like a rookie when he is the senior player of the club - trying to lure Moses for extortionate money to play in the position he has owned here - why?
He is not going to get any faster one of his best assets, is now having hamstring issues and it stands to reason that he will become more susceptible to injury. He is mostly a brave defender - to his credit has saved more than one try through solid D - but his ability to react to what is happening around him seems challenged at the best of times, and yet some will try and convince you he is an instinctive player and is crueled by structured play.
I championed him for years and will always praise him when I think he has done well - but he has got the pack now - he needs to own his performance good and or bad. Surely has to be the make or break season.
