I'm of belief at least 2 of the 3 will......

The one I think may not is Daino.
I think Staines will have too hunger and force the clubs hand on that #1 jersey.

All just a feeling though, could be way wrong.

I think with the forwards we have AD and Brooks will go well. Agree with Laurie it may be an attitude thing

far from outstanding. Was maybe slightly above average attack and well below average defence.

Laurie is a good footballer and may need a little more enthusiasm. He is a natural ball player with speed to play in the halves or at fullback and will tackle. Imo he will continue to develop. Sheens comments on Brooks are in the public forum re post 2023 which would no doubt have the agreement of Marshall.

i think both AD and Brooks will benefit from space given to them by the forwards and hopefully second rowers who can tackle and help in defence.
I kind of wonder if we had a good fb like farnworth, etc you could work a spine with 7. Brooks 6. AD 9. Api 1. Farnworth in 2024 if Brooks and AD can take a price drop e.g. Brooks down to 700k AD staying at 650k or so

Me, I'm happy with our recruitment. Best we've ever done. You can't sign everyone, especially when you're holding the wooden spoon. I don't see that we lost any battles.
But I guess that you can't please everyone.

I don't think many clubs will be lining up for either of em

To be fair to our halves of the last 5 years we have had the worst squad in the NRL. This season will show if Brooks or AD are any good
By round 8 if we aren't 5 from 8 we will need new halves.

We were 13th when he was sacked. Madge was unsuccessful and there is no point discussing that any further, but we were much worse after he was sacked.

I’m hopeful this year will be better but time will tell.

We have the following players who can play centre;-
Naden- a first class centre.
Kepoa;- has plenty of upside, is young and learning.
Feledy ;- shows great promise.
Topou ;- exciting and talented.
TT ; not sure if the forwards are his future, but impressive at training.
AD ;- has played centre with some ability.
Reilly ;- not much known about, but signed for a reason.
To'a ;- exciting and talented.
Bula ;- great wraps on ths kid, not in top 30, but can play 1,2,3, and 4.

Yet people are screaming to buy $700,000 players who may be no better.
Naden, is a very good centre, and we only need one of the above to have a pair, i like our chances.

Naden is not a 1st class center, he wouldn’t be ranked in the top 20 centers in the NRL.

I would say he does have the makings of a varsity athlete.
