He's ready to go if MM re-signs. I'm fairly sure there's a few clubs interested though. I know because his management offered him to the Bronco's as Adam Reynolds future replacement.

What you see as a problem, could be what Sheens sees as a legitimate option.

The forwards do the hard stuff and two running halves just run the ball ... electric.

I honestly don't think we've seen an AD x Brooks combo in its full power yet.

Laurie definitely can cross, Brooks has a few tries in him...

Api is kinda key here and I expect him to give good ball to Brooks and AD...

Plus you have Charlie Staines around who often scores double.

If Sheens + Benji cannot make a team score. I don't know what else we can do.

Defence is my big worry.

We need a stable hooker/lock to take the heat of API’s game. Follow the brown stains lead!

Coming back from injury and all that.
I think being involved in the world cup would've been massive for his confidence and we'll see him really shine as a player this year.

If not, it may be the end of the road for him.
I'm hopeful though.

I have a feeling sheens will be looking for a big attacking forward like Tuki who has size and for the little I have seen of him a great offload in traffic,sheens showed interest early in this guy so don't be surprised if he can get the best out of him

We have the following players who can play centre;-
Naden- a first class centre.
Kepoa;- has plenty of upside, is young and learning.
Feledy ;- shows great promise.
Topou ;- exciting and talented.
TT ; not sure if the forwards are his future, but impressive at training.
AD ;- has played centre with some ability.
Reilly ;- not much known about, but signed for a reason.
To'a ;- exciting and talented.
Bula ;- great wraps on ths kid, not in top 30, but can play 1,2,3, and 4.

Yet people are screaming to buy $700,000 players who may be no better.
Naden, is a very good centre, and we only need one of the above to have a pair, i like our chances.

Holy crap that's the most overrated load of crap I've read on here in a while.

They're all average at best. No other club wants ANY of them.

Just on Naden…. I thought he was terrible on the wing for us. He looked completely out of his depth and didn’t know the first thing about playing what is now a specialist position. I much prefer him as a centre, although he needs to keep things simple and not make dumb errors or be a hot head. The guy has the makings of being something but I’m not sure he has the smarts. Let’s hope he receives, and is able to benefit, from some proper coaching.

For me it's the exact opposite. At centre he's absolutely awful. His defence is appalling, and he loses concentration and is too lazy. At least on the wing his job is easier and he can keep his game simple. As the fastest of our current outside backs he needs to be out wide

AD and brooks will thrive under sheens

We don’t need new centers because sheens will get the best out of them

Our forward pack is one of the best in the competition because of sheens recruitment

We don’t need to defend because sheens is coaching us the old way where we out score the opponents

We only need Api controlling the play because sheens knows what he’s doing

Hastings was overrated which is why sheens made the right decision to let him go over brooks

We have a plan B for everything so trust in sheens

Geeze with all the chat on here - gonna be a lot of people who feel duped, again, if brooks doesn’t somehow find form after 9 years, and we don’t miraculously make the 8 with a bottom 5 roster.

Let’s be honest…no one on here knows anything! All of these sources, or people in the know are rubbish. For all we know we could be making a play for Benji to make a comeback in the halves?! He has been training!

He's a 5/8th. We need a halfback with an all-round kicking game.

He's a fullback but you're right about needing a proper halfback. I'd be trying to secure Welsby anyway.

Laurie is a good footballer and may need a little more enthusiasm. He is a natural ball player with speed to play in the halves or at fullback and will tackle. Imo he will continue to develop. Sheens comments on Brooks are in the public forum re post 2023 which would no doubt have the agreement of Marshall.

I agree, he is a good footballer who hasn't reached his ceiling. Don't understand all the hate for him on here.

Many comments on the backs are true. But most are very young with natural ability. The few times they did get a run in the top grade, the side was getting beat by cricket scores, and would have been lucky to get a clean ball all game. This does not build confidence.
As for defence, most kids that get to the top grade can tackle, it is the structure of the defence that let us down, that is the coaching staffs responsibility. The Tigers would not have kept these guys unless they showed promise, i expect the backline and all players will be far better with our stronger pack, and smarter coaches. That's why i say , give them a chance.
