Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

That's Justin Matamua right? He's looking bigger and hopefully that means he's stronger and more ready for NRL.

That's asu

We have the following players who can play centre;-
Naden- a first class centre.
Kepoa;- has plenty of upside, is young and learning.
Feledy ;- shows great promise.
Topou ;- exciting and talented.
TT ; not sure if the forwards are his future, but impressive at training.
AD ;- has played centre with some ability.
Reilly ;- not much known about, but signed for a reason.
To'a ;- exciting and talented.
Bula ;- great wraps on ths kid, not in top 30, but can play 1,2,3, and 4.

Yet people are screaming to buy $700,000 players who may be no better.
Naden, is a very good centre, and we only need one of the above to have a pair, i like our chances.

Naden is not a 1st class center, he wouldn’t be ranked in the top 20 centers in the NRL.

Adam is such a strong competitor.
I hope he'll lift Brooksys spirit, just playing next to him - much like Hastings did.

Daino, could go either way.
Staines tho.... he wants it, imo.
He didn't come here to waste away in nsw cup
Both running halves is the problem

To be fair to our halves of the last 5 years we have had the worst squad in the NRL. This season will show if Brooks or AD are any good
By round 8 if we aren't 5 from 8 we will need new halves.
Exactly, though 5 from 8 with so many changes, might be a tough ask so early.

it could be as simple as both players have not received good coaching at WT.

Same principle applies to both players. We find out this season.

We were 13th when he was sacked. Madge was unsuccessful and there is no point discussing that any further, but we were much worse after he was sacked.

I’m hopeful this year will be better but time will tell.
We were only 13th as Dogs, Titans, Warriors, and Dragons hadn't received their courtesy 2 points from the bye

He wasn't that good and I've been his biggest fan. I've been waiting for him to get his game together and become a marquee player. If he does get his game together he seems to have elite potential.

The question is will he.
Well unless people live in fantasy world Earl , the fact that the club was after a $1.4 mill player for the halves, shows they don't think so. I hope AD and Brooks kill it . But at least one will be gone.

We have zero long term injuries at the moment and with a far stronger side than what we had last year (which had many long term injuries from the start of 2022) there should be no reason for not getting off to a decent start.
I like ur optimism, but for me I think we are light on in the backrow area, and I know a lot on this forum want the kids to shine , but it doesn’t always work that way , that’s why I hope we still sign Nathan brown , because if two or three backrowers go down we are in massive trouble , the kids need to be brought all slowly this year and we will see them shine next year

I think Api and Brooks will be running off each other, and AD will be feeding our edge forwards in Paps and Bateman, - just a thought !

We'll have to wait and see. In all seriousness Doueihi has looked really good at times but he looked really good at times at fullback as well. He has to put it all together though.

I can't see Brooks becoming a world beater. I think he is a secondary half and probably a good secondary half. I can't see the club retaining him unless it's on significantly reduced dollars.
