Thanks mate, I have had an update ready to go since Boxing Day but haven't got around to downloading and installing yet.

I think the best way is to wait and see what happens and check with a registered Samsung dealer. Back up phone regardless.
As long as you have a fairly recent update like my midyear one, your phone shouldn't be vulnerable without updates.
